Well, kind of like the light at the end of the tunnel, but in this case the light travels the entire length of this architectural beauty!This is one of the many bridges that crosses the road at Manchester Airport in England, UK. I walked along it on my way to Terminal 1 when i was leaving for holiday and it was too busy to take pictures, people everywhere. So when our plane arrived at 4:05am it was dark and the tunnel was all lit up, it is an amazing piece. I took many images of this as nobody was around, plus with it being dark outside, just added to it all. I set the camera up in many different ways to get different looks and lighting. Anyway, this is the one that i picked.

I kind of chuckled about the off-centre comment, as you clearly have versions where it's dead on. Overall I like the composition. I think some people could have an unending discussion on the symmetry. My own quibble is whether or not the lighting might have been reduced a bit. CS has a nice new tool that allows for gradations of shadow-highlight under image/adjustments that I find very handy these days. Clearly there are many directions that an image like this can be taken.

thats some amazeingly pretty colors. I think one thing that could make this picture a little better is a subject. Like a person just standing on the escalater things being moved away.

i am also like you.. when i am in a cool place i want to take pictures of it, but most of the times the conditions are not the best possible.. so itΒ΄s good to come back later like you did

I can't really imagine how it would have been with a shorter exposure, but the little blur add a rather cool feeling, besides these astonishing colors !
I also think that was a good idea not to center the picture on the ramps, and to have a little shift. it makes the picture more original.

Those colors are amazing! Nice lights and reflections.. Only one minor remark.. why didn't you take the time to find the middle of that "tunnel of light" .. I think it would've been nicer if it were symmetric!

haha where you from? i live not too far away from manchester airport - took some photos when i dropped my dad off a few months back... - seen this at night for years and never got round to taking any shots but im quite chuffed with the ones i got in the day.
