to follow along with my perfect circle obsession, i thought to myself about getting a tattoo involving their symbol, but i remember back in the day when i used to be obsessed with duran duran, and wanted their DD symbol for a tattoo, and i was like "i'll never get tired of them!" and well, of course i have, and i'm glad i never got that tattoo.so then i decided to try to make the symbol (because i really do love apc) not particularly be only the symbol for the band, but also something nice looking that i wouldn't regret.
this is what i came up with, it's not the most cleanest attempt, but i did ink it by hand and the scan is much larger than it is irl, so it shows all my fumbling handwork. i added the red in psp8, because, well, i am also obsessed with the colour red and it has to be involved with everything i do.
edit -- uhhh, fixed the typo in the title.
RE-EDIT: i made a digital version, which took me a whole lot longer but whatever. i changed a few things but it definitely looks better. well, it looks a little funkier where the red meets black but whatever, i can't do much about it unless i want to make it a gif and i really don't want to, so blah!
PS: FULLVIEW definitely looks BETTER, and CLEANER, and all that good stuff.

I found this a long time ago, and haven't been able to get it out of my head. I see that others have already asked permission to get this tattoo, and I'm usually pretty strict on getting original, one-of-a-kind tattoos only. But I really, really like this. I've tried many times to draw an APC tattoo design, but I've never fully been happy with them. I saw your note on your profile about giving permission to those who want to use your designs... I just wanted you to know I'm really itching to get this after much thought, and if you're interested I'll send you pictures of it. I will get it in blue.

i felt the same way and APC is my fav band right now lOl so i had their symbol incorporated into another design instead of having it by itself. but hey APC is awesome. even if u get tired of listening to them-- u still gotta respect them

Wow, this is amazing, I've been thinking about getting a Tool or APC tattoo. But like you said about Duran Duran, you never know how you're interests may change over time and that is why I am so hesitant on getting a tat in general.

haha it's kinda funny because i am now completely over my want for an APC tattoo. i still love the band, but not in that way anymore i guess. ah well.
but if someone gets a flower or something, you can really put any sort of meaning to it that you want it to preserve. i just can't see that with a band symbol or something.
but i hate having "love" in japanese on my shoulder, so you never really know.

I love the idea of tattoos but I hate having anything on my body that I can't change easily. People always seem to end up hating their tattoo and it's difficult to get it removed without scarring. Maybe one day I'll get one, but it'll have to have a lot of thought put into it. For now, I'll just admire the designs that people create.

I LOVE the tattoo! I was just checking out all the tattoo designs in here whem I ran over this one and I was like: Ey! That looks like the A Perfect Cricle symbol! xD And of course it was. The band rocks!

just great... would you mind if i tattooed that too? I want to tatto apc's symbol but not only itself.. you know. but let me tell you that red is a really nasty color to put in a tattoo 'cause it fades a lot in time

yea i know, and some people have allergic reactions to the red ink. and it would most likely look super inflamed. i only put the red on there because it's my favorite color, but also quite removable from the image. if you want it for a tattoo go for it, if you want i can send a version without the red (to email would be preferred) but my internet lately has been pretty sketchy...

hey thanks it. Look, i got drawing made by a friend of mind that includes apc symbol and also peace symbol. I asked her to put that together in one only draw that would be my perfect tattoo and she did. it also includes the word "peace" in Arabic. I just didn't do it yet cause it is too big to put in the back of my neck (the place i wanted) and if i shrink it, it will lose a lot of details, shadows and stuff. but good luck with yours ^^

I recently got an APC tattoo round the inside of my left ankle, I love it x

I am really thinking of getting this as a tattoo. Probably on my sternum like what Maynard has in the 3 libras music video. If I do, do it, then I'll probably just do the black then save up and go have the red done in black light ink.

awesome! i realised after making adding the red to it, it could possible look "infected" if actually done with the tattoo (being shaded and all) but i guess it depends on the artist maybe... but that's something to think about too...
