The only thing I don't absolutely adore about this picture is Artemis' face. I don't know, seems a little too round and boyish to me. Other than that, love it!

oh wow, this is really cool. The lighting is very dramatic, it almost looks like a screencap from a movie. and even though we only see the back of Holly's head, what I see looks exactly as I've always pictured her

I went to look for some Holly drawings here on DA, for reference, and they almost all had bobs, or even long hair. >.<

haha i have a really hard time picturing/drawing her with a crew cut... it just doesn't seem to suit her, somethig so boyish.. at least not to me. i always draw her with very short hair -->[link]

Eh, that's alright, I suppose. But it's part of her characteristics, and was probably chosen on purpose by the author. Now, she is very bossy and "boyish" in the first book, and I have a more difficult time seeing her with a crew cut in the newer books. I think it's more likely that she changes her hair slightly by the third book.

that does seem likely... maybe it grows out a bit.. and it has been a few years, right? and doesn't it say in the time paradox that when she goes through the change that her hair grows a bit? i thought i read something about that

At first I thought, "Woah, Arty is freakishly huge compared to Holly!" but then I remembered "Fairy. Small. Duh."
Anyway, great job. It's subtle but looks great and the darkness really adds to the drawing. I especially like Holly's crossed fingers.
