Description Porsche 918 Spyder in Rhodium Silver Metallic, the German part of the Holy trinity.

The three brands:

McLaren
Ferrari
Porsche

They set out to create a supercar (hypercar actually) that it could beat the veyron in enough areas to not need only "pure" 1000hp (I put it in quotes since it is not an N/A therefore it would not be pure) of a combustion engine and to encourage all future vehicles to hybridization.

but firtsly let's define the main difference beetwen a Supercar and a Hypercar since i saw many time people refering to one of these 3 as "SuperCars"....

While "supercar" and "hypercar" are often used interchangeably to describe fast cars, their distinction lies in their performance and rarity. In essence, all hypercars are supercars, but not all supercars can be deemed hypercars. Supercars are already highly prized machines, but hypercars take the art of automotive engineering to unprecedented heights, defying what was once considered possible.

This was the first to appear in the form of a concept, the brand already revealed that the production model would be very similar to what we had on screen, around that same time a sketch of what was supposed to be the LaFerrari appeared, and Lamborghini, did not join to make his own vehicle
but he presented a PRE Aventador SV (Veneno (They are essentially the same vehicle)) because they also wanted to get his millions for a "super unique and exclusive vehicle" and in some later instances the P1 was finally presented.

The one that weighs the most of the three but is more efficient, the onewhich has been seen the most times throwing blue flames in it' s exhausts, both this and the 963 LMDh in Lemans (unfortunately It did not win(24hLemans 2023(crash festival?!? weird)) the one with the least power at the combustion engine level but the most power it generates at the EV level, in my opinion and according to many sources the fastest and the best option with a v8 that It has a spectacular sound, both intake&induction and exhaust, a car that came out in 2013 that continues to look better and new today , setting records (Nurburgring) and this one above the other 2 has redefined what is a definitive hybrid hypercar (of the time).

It can go both in combustion and in electric (having a range of 30km)
(The P1 can go full electric but the range .... the LaFerrari just can't.)

With some 875hp (v8 from the RS Spyder) making 599hp and 2 E engines rated at 282hp and 1,280 N⋅m (944 lbf⋅ft) of torque this is the fastest of the 3 in a 1/4, in Databases show that the LaFerrari gets a 9.7 but in a confrontation between these two in real life (not a drag strip) the 918 takes the victory (4WD,  vs RWD, that's why the 918 weights more) .

All this was seen and verified in the Grand Tour where a trio (who could not make the 3 laps official in Top Gear) freely tested them in silvestone.

Something that is not commented on this vehicle is that the P1 is attributed to having DRS and KERS and IPAS, something that it clearly has, the LaFerrari has HY-KERS but what nobody comments is that the 918 has a mode that is hot lap mode, in this the vehicle offers its maximum electrical and combustion benefits, it also has KERS, the brand does not call it as such but the functionality of this system is identical to that of KERS.

In September 2013, a 918 equipped with the optional 'Weissach Package' set a Nürburgring lap time of 6:57 on the 20.6 km (12.8 mi) circuit, cutting the previous record by 14 seconds and making it in the first street legal production car to break the 7 minute barrier.

Above vehicles like the 599xx or the Nissan GTR, famous for unseating supercars of the era, Ferrari refused to try to set a record with either the LaFerrari or the FXX K, McLaren did declare that they had taken a lap with the P1 but it seems It could be that it only stayed in 7 minutes...

well then you all probably asking why i'm updating this one now ??

Because the successor concept of this one has already come out and because let's be realistic this model is 10 years old, 10 YEARS.

As Porsche commented, they would go from combustion (959, 911 GT1, Carrera GT) to Hybrid (918 Spyder, 963 LMDh) to purely electric (Porsche Mission X) the design  of the new vehicle is retro (remember old Lemans models (962 for example (body)) but it is based on too many concepts that did not reach production and vision gran turismos:

- 919 Street Version Concept (Lemans)
- 959 (Tail lights)
- Porsche 918 (Front)
- Porsche 551 Concept (Front lights)
- Porsche 906 Living Legend (Body)
- Porsche 917 Living Legend Concept (Body & Interior)
- Porsche Vision GT (Interior and rear)

supposedly there is something about the Carrera GT, which I do not identify in any of the design, a pity that Porsche dispenses with the combustion engine in this model, something that can change to the production model (it is not common,
What is usually common is that the Output (hp) of the production model puts out much more power than the concept.)

At least we know that the main objective of this vehicle is to demonstrate that the AMG ONE record has its days numbered and that it would weigh around 1,500kg and would have approximately 1,500hp, from electric motors, at the moment it is not known how many and it is not known either. if it will have a transmission (it is assumed that yes, apparently in the taycan)

At the same time, Ferrari is already testing the possible successor to the LaFerrari, this  has proably the 499P combustion engine and McLaren has not shown anything but it is likely that they are doing iinterine tests.thing but it is likely that they are doing iinterine tests.

well, one thing that I forgot about these 3 is that the 3 can really exceed their top speed (the 3 can  reach 350km/h above) the fact that the 3 have this top speed  is due to the useful life of the electric motors, since at delimiting any of the 3 could easily exceed the top  speed they declare but overheat the electric motors and kill them....
No one has dared to do this with the 918 and the P1, but someone did dare to delimit the LaFerrari and it reached a maximum of 372km/h ascending, obviously as As I have already commented, it is a big risk to take since you are risking the integrity of the motor train of your vehicle and that the domino effect is made (that the electric motors die and the affectation of that  make  the combustion  engine perish in the past days.)h in the past days.)

What these 3 vehicles have achieved has already been established in automotive history, most new hypercars take as a reference any of these 3 or their competition versions (FXX K, P1 GTR, 918 RSR(it never reached production)) that already tells you the importance that these 3 marked in 2013, and today they have increased in value enough, this one from going to be worth 770,000 to 2 million, the P1 1 Million to 2 million, and the LaFerrari 1.3 million to 3 million, in fact the Aperta is worth 8 million.t days.)h in the past days.)t days.)
