I love snails they're very interesting and rather intelligent, even if you wouldn't tell that because of their slowness... It's a very nice picture

hehe- that's true, are they really intelligent? Thanks for the comment!

Welcome! Yes, they're more intelligent than one would expect... once I took one and put it on a chessboard... she instantly tried to eat the king!!

Whoa! I have never seen a snail move like that. how cool that you were able to get such a shot!

Thanks so much, buddy! Yeah, this one got featured in a news article, next to some very professional, awesome work. I was so thrilled and flattered! It means a lot that you like it especially though, pally.

Wow. Congratulations! I'd be exited too if my work was chosen for something like that. I should probably at least try to submit my works to things like that more often. Then at least I'd have more of a chance.

Yup! It is only recently that I have been featured for things. The three years before these last few months, I have never had much work that I was proud of within my gallery. But now I do. It's a nice feeling. Even though I know there is tons of work better than mine too... That's the down side, lol. I think if you want stuff to be chosen for features, just make something that is a bit stylised and is easy to enjoy. I think your literature is really well written, but it takes a while to read and appeals to a limited audience. I really think you should have a go at photography! I would love to help you along the way, too! BTW, I am not criticising your fan-lit. Just saying it is not likely to be featured, as lit generally doesn't very often. I guess this site isn't really a lit-driven community.

Well it IS called deviant ART. Which most people say would just qualify as the visual arts. And I really don't intend for any of my fan literature to be featured in any kind of way. it was just for my personal enjoyment. I've been working on another science fiction story that's not fan-based at all, though.I don't know about the photography thing though. I'm still trying to explore animation myself and studio art. I'm not sure if I really want to get that deep into photography just yet. :Ashamed: It would be cool to have your advice if I ever really start to though.

Yup, I would only be too happy to help with photography, but then again the best way to gain experience is experimentation and being out 'in the field'
