Well, finally the comic has launched at the Lackadaisy web site: [link]Hypothetically, this will be followed by weekly (or as close to weekly as I can manage) updates.
I wasn't going to post the whole introduction here initially, but I worked my fingers to the bone on it, so according to some bastardized form of logic, that means I'm entitled to accost you with an oversized chunk of comic art.
Sorry it stops so abruptly at the end. It flows into another short bit of narration attached to a separate page that begins the story-proper.
Everything was drawn in pencil with the sepia painted semi-transparently on top of the pencil work in Photoshop.

HOW DID YOU DO THIS ALL IN PENCIL!!???? OMFG... it's so beautiful... it looks like renaissance art... every detail is included... do you give out tips to aspiring artists??? I'm very interested in comic work, and want to work on one, but I don't know where to start... I would like to work on character sheets, but I don't know how to go about making one, and I certainly don't know what to do with a story, and I'm sure that comes first.... but, I don't know how to make a transistion, (a good transistion mind you) from panel to panel, to tell a beautiful story in the form of perfect art (such as yours)... any help would be appreciated!!
