Hardly counts as a mini-comic, but something like it...I drew this in response to a question about whether or not Dr. Quackenbush had to deal with Mordecai after this ordeal . It was Elsa who had the dubious honor, though.
It also proved a useful experiment for seeing how well I could make a background I modeled in 3D blend with pencil-drawn characters.

I'm pretty sure everyone in the world's been there at least once in their lives whether it's the doctor, the nurse, the surgeon, the dentist or whoever.
Each frame is well set-up letting the situation unfold in a straight flow.

I'm curious how you rendered the background. Was it an occlusion render that you then painted over? Or did you render the scene out with materials applied? Also would you say this saved you time and are you considering continuing to create backgrounds like this? You did an amazing job blending the two so I'm excited to see if you do more.

You know you've built some fantastic characters when you can write a comic with only two different words and it still makes for a great scene.
