If you remember when I posted my "Simply Cookie Monster" pic ( fav.me/d6qo3ik ), you'll probably remember how I (briefly) said that I was first exposed to Cookie Monster through the "Monsterpiece Theater" segments on "Sesame Street". Well, here he is as Alistair Cookie in all his glory.

For those who don't know, "Monsterpiece Theater" was a "Sesame Street" parody of "Masterpiece Theater" , a show that was also on PBS, and was hosted by the late Alistair Cooke. The segments featured short parodies of different movies such as "The King and I", "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" and "Little House on the Prairie" (referred to here as "Little House on Prairie", meaning Prairie Dawn, another muppet character featured on "Sesame Street"). There were three different intros for the segments; there was the series' title in white letters on a cerulean background, an intro with different shots panning around a library while the full theme song plays (with Cookie Monster's voice being heard), and another intro with the series' title in a fancy font with green curtains in the background.

Take note of the way I drew and colored the book that Alistair Cookie is holding, as well as the cookies on his plate on the table beside him.
