Whew, long time no see, you all! =3

OK, this one sure took a while... Mostly because of college. Again, college sucks. >_<

Remember Aero? Aero the Acrobat? For the SNES, Genesis and GBA? Sunsoft's mascot? Oh well. >_>

Anyways, back in the 16-bit era, because Nintendo and Sega had their own mascots, every company decided that they needed one too. So Sunsoft, in association with the now defunct Iguana Entertainment, created Aero the Acro-Bat. Bad pun, I know.

Following up with the popular trend of "mascots with attitude" (ie. Sonic the Hedgehog), they created charming, witty, agile and limber, but full of himself, loud and gullible Aero.
The idea was to make him unable to fly, so the attacks he had were spin-diving into enemies (like Sonic), shooting magic stars (kinda like Mario) and running really fast (again, like Sonic).
The story of the game is that, Aero lives and performs in a circus, but there is an evil ex-clown who wants to destroy the circus so no one can ever be happy again. The clown dude recruits help from all the under-paid performers and Aero's rival, Zero the Kamikaze Squirrel. So, it's up to Aero to beat up everyone and get the clown dude to, you know, go away. >_<

I feel good with this drawing... I had been wanting to draw Aero from even before I had the intention to start drawing! He was such a cool character, he reminded me a lot of Sonic.

Oh, and I'm sorry if my drawing reminds you of Sonic! The original Aero looked nothing like Sonic, but I had to draw him like this. Sonic-esque is the only style of drawing these kind of characters that I have... >_<
