There was no plan to draw sth like that, but when I saw the December theme in the group Our Dreams Will Come www.deviantart.com/ourdreamswi… which is "Cold vs Warm" , I thought I could draw that scene It also suits the pre-Christmas time

It's grey on purpose because I wanted the warm steam/pink vibes to be more visible

After a while the girl got the impression that they were in some brighter place, as if they had escaped from among the trees. A second later she was gently put down and she heard:

-Open your eyes.

They stood between the trees on the edge of the escarpment. In front of them there was was a huge chasm, surrounded by slopes covered with forest. At its bottom there was a tiny town or maybe even a village - a house next to a house, all of them old, wooden and covered with snow hats, with smoking chimneys and garbage cans exposed on the road which cut the town in half far to the horizon. She saw a larger building that had to be a market or a school, a tiny space fenced with a concrete fence - probably a cemetery, a place that could be a market square and several outbuildings. The whole place was surrounded by a high wall - something like a dam, probably to protect the village against possible avalanches. She could feel clearly the frosty air was filled with the smell of burning wood and coal, even though she still had not pulled the scarf off her face.

Above the village, the chasm and the surrounding forest, there was the most amazing view she had ever seen. As far as the eye could see, mountain peaks stretched, majestic and menacing, some white with snow, others glistening with ice, all bathed in the sun, which hung quite low due to the time of year.

- Beautiful, right? - she heard the delight and emotion in his voice. - It is the most beautiful here at sunrise - the mountains turn orange-pink, while the first lights begin to appear in the village and in the clear sky you can see as many stars as I have never seen in any other part of the Earth. You are still in civilization, but you get the impression that you have completely broken away from it. And especially at sunrise in early spring. Winter is mixed with spring, day with night. This is so amazing, I must show it to you someday. I used to come here very often when I was a child.
