This is a very creative 2 parter. It's ideas like this that amaze me at the creativity to come up with the concept and then execute it flawlessly and to full effect.

Every time I reread this I find something else to gush over. I can so hear Cullen's voice while reading this, and that is usually hard for me. And I noticed that Furmanism you snuck in there, clever boys.

"You're Gunna go Far, Kid" by the Offspring started playing as I read this. I find it fitting. 
I really like the parallel between the "present" and "future" panels. Along with Prime's narration, it really makes his sentiment come through.

Oh and by the way - I love the filters applied to the Beast Wars "flashbacks/forwards," looks like old-time film. Very nice touch!

The more I read yours the more I realise just how much we're on the same wavelength with pt2. A slightly different emphasis, but very similar touchstones... What's weirder is both parts were written about 3-4 years ago, probably about the same time you wrote yours...

Indeed. There was also the fact that Optimus woke up briefly when his spark was restored after his head was repaired in Beast Wars, so that could only add more mysterious memories for him to think about.
Speaking of the Matrix, did they ever mention who was the Matrix-bearer during the Beast Era?
