The third one...that's an interesting way to structure hands. I might have to try that when doing open-palm positions like that.

This seems less "random" than "girls with large breasts." Not that I'm complaining, mind you. Of course, there is one exception, but she's the star of a hentai, so not complaining about her either.

Well the first 2 and last one are all hot, especially number 2, but who are they?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

transfuse In reply to WordBearer [2007-05-16 18:30:02 +0000 UTC]

The first four are from random anime series and the last one is from a fighting game called Guilty Gear.

The first two panels of each drawing look inked but you clearly are building on what they start. Are you just scanning in the pencils and messing with contrast?

Also, do you have a trick for keeping the pen lines so crisp?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

transfuse In reply to starstriker1 [2007-05-14 00:13:22 +0000 UTC]

All of my Octopies are actually 100% digital. The trick to crisp lines in Photoshop is just to use a brush with 100% hardness and have the brush size set to "pen pressure" sensitivity (if you have a graphics tablet that is).

starstriker1 In reply to transfuse [2007-05-14 00:31:49 +0000 UTC]

Well, I guess it's my fault for assuming you were using pen and pencil!

cerifin32 [2007-05-13 23:05:10 +0000 UTC]

I dont understand how you get your line art so neat. every time I scan a drawing in, the line art is all bumpy and crappy. I need some help real bad. Any information you can give me would be hugely appreciated.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

transfuse In reply to cerifin32 [2007-05-14 00:14:40 +0000 UTC]

Well all the lineart in my Octopies was done completely in Photoshop. But if you need some lineart scanning help, you can read about that here:

I don't really have tips about getting tablets since I've only used one type (6x8 Wacom Intuos model). The Intuos3 is a really good professional-grade tablet that costs about $300. Wacom sells cheaper versions called Graphires that I hear are good enough to do nice digital art. You can read more about them at wacom.com.

Wow,this is a great random round 2:3, these techniques and idea's are hugely making my imagination run wild with idea's for art. You are truely a god at this and i do wish i could get my art to look like yours, i say that, only cause the only things i dont like about my art are hands and feet, i can never get them how i want them, facial feature i guess as well, anyway, out ofinterest is there a site you would recommend for tutorials?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

transfuse In reply to LPARK435 [2007-05-14 12:10:12 +0000 UTC]

Well good luck; keep on practicing.

As far as tutorials, I really can't think of any websites off the top of my head. I'd just try googling "photoshop tutorial" or something along those lines.
