There is one such association in every country. I've adhered to mine years ago and if this happened to me they would take all the legal stuff and costs and deal with this. Not always enough but at least there is more protection.
I really hate it when people do that, or worse delete the signature from a picture, that's theft. Even if it's a photo of the person who uses the image.

Its along the Avenue of the Giants, and its unmistakable, its the only area with clovers. DO WATCH OUT though, the northern half is riddled with poison oak, the southern section (almost a half mile drive Β [southward] from the northern grove parking space) is free of poison oak.Β

Its one of the three places in the world that has Redwood trees, but they are by far, the largest and tallest here in California - their breed being called "The Giants" heheh

Beautiful pic - what camera d'you use? I take mine with 8 mgpx phone camera!!!! I could use some advice from talented folk like yourself.

I definitely don't have a high-end camera at all. I use a Sony W300 (3x optical zoom and 3x digital, 13.6mp). When this camera came onto the market, it was $600, now they're about $350-$400. It is pretty much a point-and-shoot style camera, but the things I can change around and manipulate with the manual settings, makes it much more awesome than a typical point and shoot.
To keep the pictures from bluring, I don't use a typical tripod either, I grew up without one, so until a year ago, ALL my photos were taken by using rocks/trees/nearby THINGS as stands, and the string that wraps around my wrist as a riser for the front of the camera (to angle up a bit, or level the camera out on a non-flat surface). NOW I use a GorillaPod [link] (Amazon link)- something I'd wanted back when I was 14, but they didn't exist yet, and hell if I had the tech to make it myself.

it is indeed! Its about 45 minutes south of a drive from my house. Google "Avenue of the Giants" and you'll find highway 101 splits and takes you through a drive of wonder....pull off the side of the road and go wandering into the forest for about 1/2 hour, and you'll find an entire grove that goes for a good 1/2 mile of just this! We go there as often as we can.
Not more than 20 minutes of a drive inland from our house, is more of that same forest, but up here in this bayside climate, those clover patches don't really exist so intensely....so we have to drive a bit south, into the warmer zone to find faerie land.

Down near Redway/Avenue of the Giants....during October some time; its not in the main park, its along one of the pullouts, and you have to get into the trails about 10minutes in from the road

thank you much, though the ground itself is not at all even, there are rolling hills made by fallen leaves/needles and rotting logs/stumps all over the place. The decay of all the wood and dirt have made this place into a rolling-hill paradise, completely hidden by trees ^_^

This is a very beautiful photograph. It's not easy to take photos in a redwood forest (I've tried many times). It isn't just their size but to capture the serenity of the forest itself, the feeling of being there. You did a great job of doing that in this picture.

It is often difficult to capture the Redwood's serenity, often it requires the weather to cooperate too...can't do a forest justice when its overcast. Although, I do intend to try again in this area when its pouring rain - I think that would be loads of fun!
The only difficulty I've come across in any forest, is the low light causing grain or blur due to unsteady hands...I fixed this by buying one of those Joby tripods [link] I love this thing, and I'm considering buying a second one, so that I can expand the leg length (to wrap around smaller Redwoods n such)
