Description Patagonia, Argentina
95,007,000 BC
Cenomanian Stage of the Late Cretaceous period

A herd of Argentinosaurus huincalensis were on the move, but were threatened by a pack of Mapusaurus rosease that's attacking a younger sauropod. Their sharp-serrated teeth like steak knives rip and tear huge chunks of Argentinosaurus meat, causing the large herbivore to bleed to death. This will be a big meal for a gang of Mapusaurus.

The one thing about this pic that bugs me is that you outlined their skulls.

For those of you who are wondering why its different than it was before, I change the facial muscles since dinosaurs don't have that!

I like how the one on the very front looks like he doesn't really give a crap.

quite impressive. the only thing that bothers me though is the eyes of the dinosaurs. no dinosaur had the the facial muscles to make express anger. most dinosaurs had expressions similar to a lizard or a bird; focused or alert. they could likely squint, and of course they could open their eyes wider to express panic and alarm. other than that, there were't really any muscles in that area of the face that could be used in that way. Β other than that, they are quite accurate and well-muscled. Β

I know! Usually I draw dinosaurs sort of like this!

aside from that, i think it is such a cool drawing. and the best part of it is, you make the dinosaurs into well-muscled creatures. a lot of people make them kinda emaciated-looking, but your proportions and muscles on them do the combatants, especially the Mapusaurus, some real justice!

Its the first time I drew Mapusaurus w/ quills around its arms, like its close relative Concavenator was found preserved with it!
