Mikasa had finally put her foot down. If Yumi's face continued to adorn all of NEKO's merchandise, it was only a matter of time until somebody realized that she and Tora were the same. She and Sonny spent days trying to figure out how to convince Alex of this without letting him know the exact reason for the change.

It was then that Sonny noticed something that Catherine had been doodling, it looked like if somebody put Yumi and Tora together, but in an anime or manga. That's when it hit them, NEKO needed a mascot! After a short argument between Yumi and Catherine about the band paying her a commission for the art, she agreed to make the official art for the mascot, in exchange for 1000 rubdowns from Sonny.

Full disclosure, I've had my eye on AQ Yumi for Aiko 8 for quite some time, because I'm crazy and must only everything that has Yumi in the name from the DAZ store. As you can see, I finally broke down and bought her, but not for the Tora-Verse, for an actual RL project for which I needed a mascot.

Also, DAZ-da-way and I have been talking about me trying to make a muscular build work with an Aiko 8 character, which I have tried repeatedly and (in my opinion) failed miserably. The biggest issue comes down to the models' upper body being so damn narrow. Funny enough, it was Harlowizing lexi-tink 's characters that actually proved that you can make the larger frame work on the petite and narrow frames.

Flash forward to last night, and my mad scientist experimenting on this beautiful little lady. For a glimpse into my behind the scenes, here you can see the progression of the starting shape to the one above.

Funny enough, I'd actually stopped at the second size initially, until I'd rendered a few images and outfits. That voice in the back of my head told me I could make her bigger. So I listened, and you see the results above.

Moving forward, what place does she have in my work? At first I didn't think much, but those of you familiar with Nathanomir 's cutesy character Chastity can probably guess what she'll be used for here. I'll probably work up some NEKO merch featuring her as well at some point, because I'm crazy and do things like that.

EDIT: Also. Yes, she can fly. She's a kawaii sparkle girl, so that's obvious. She can also switch between her tiny and muscular size at will, is super strong, and can shoot sparkles from her hands like Jubilee. Because why the fuck not?
