Description
Another repaint of an old headsculpt I did with Sideshow, probably around 2009. Mark Hamill is very hard to capture, and this is probably my best effort at the young Luke. I need to try again some day, as it's been so many years since I did these. I'm sure once Ep VIII comes out, I'll be dying to sculpt old Luke....Already love him from TFA.Trev

a very good likeness. imho, his face at that time of Star Wars (i cannot cope with the episode numbers) would be difficult to capture because it was boyishly bland, which was not helped by the 70s hairstyle. his Empire Strikes Back face was much more characterful, plus that so-much-better movie was more demanding in terms of acting and so his face was working harder.

I repainted this head for someone years ago, and it looks so much better with a decent paint job. As you've done here. Such a good sculpt sir!

That's awesome to hear, Darren! I tend to write off most of my work as not really holding up years later, but...with a proper paintjob, some of them aren't too bad! Luke's biggest problem is I didn't give him Hamill's big eyes! He's obviously looking into the twin suns here! ha! Thanks man!

It's no surprise that he's hard to capture, but I think you did so beautifully. I recognized him in a snap! Though I'm sure you'll try again in the future, with even sharper skill.
