Just some different lighting on a Yoda I made a couple years ago...Or was it just last year...I can't remember. Heh! It's about an 11" tall Yoda, just made as a personal project to help appreciate Stuart Freeborn's amazing puppet from ESB.The original was sculpted in wax/sculpey and this is a resin piece painted in acrylic with some wool added for hair (thanks to my friend Michelle Nyree for the help on how to apply some hair. She's a master of it).

ahhhh ...I was totally gonna make a joke, but everyone beat me to it. 
What kind of resin was used? Fillers make it go a lot further. That stuff's expensive.Β

See, that's the thinking of a smart artist! haha! I am not very good with molds, so I'm always just thrilled when it turns out ok. I think I used some slow setting Smooth-On resin....It wasn't cheap, but it also all ended up less expensive than if I had hired the work to be done. I should have cast up a few and auctioned one off, or something...I'm hesitant to let personal pieces like this out, when it's a licensed character....if it gets recast and sold a bunch, it could all come back at me.

Smooth-On, SC-310? That's my go-to resin for just about everything. I go thru 5-6 gallons of that per month.Β Β
Have you ever cast in mask latex, filled with foam- Its thee easiest to do. So eeeze even kids in highschool have done it and uploaded it to youtube. You can even tint the latex for base color, glass eyes, acrilic teeth, etc., and 'punch' the hairs into the scalp so it looks like its growing right out of the scalp. (and its not even half the cost of silicone.

I have never tried mask latex! That would be very fun to do something like that with a creature piece, especially! I've used glass eyes on some dinosaur models before and they look so cool...Adds a lot to a creature. Thanks for the tip, I'm going to look into it. I'd love to do more creature sculpture! It's just so fun. Some originals would be great to work in those materials with...no pressure of having to match something form a film....Exciting!

Wow, you're too kind, Mark! Thank you very much. I wish I had some more made up, but it required a ton of resin and the mold for the body was problematic....so I think this was probably just a 1 of-a-kind.
