So yes. FINALLY finished this. I sketched this pic about 2 (3?) months ago, at the end of winter break, when I was an a big nostalgia kick. This was my first CLAMP series, and it's always been a fav ^_^ Say what you will about CLAMP, but their coloring and art has always astonished, amazed and inspired me.

I drew some MKR fanarts a while back with copics, but I really do suck at copics, so I wanted to do a picture with my more updated style, with new things that I've learned from my art course. I'm actually rather proud of some of the coloring, especially the gold and the border. I definitely learned more this time around!

Also, woooo, transparent! hope it works, I've never tried it before ^_^;;;

As for the coloring and design, I went with manga for the design aspects, and stuck mostly to the manga for coloring, though there were a few things that I veered towards the anime for. And can I just shake my fist at CLAMP for the un-helpfulness of their art books *shake*. Why are all the designs diiiffferent?? T___T Also, Hikaru's sword. Also BOO. ^_^;;
