Β 's commission!! based on the game Granblue Fantasy! The characters are Yuel and Societte, and Yuel's really enjoying the taste and feel of Societte's soles.Β They had alot more in their design than I originally noticed haha, but it was fun drawing them. The game has some nice environments so I figured I'd try my hand at including some nice scenery....It never hurts to have a tail.

Cool pic. I have a thing for Kitsune#s and those two girls are looking very nice. Very nice tail tickling and foot licking. And the stockings on the tickler's feet are looking great, too.

Thanks Phuram. And I don't blame you, I love characters with tails and/or animal ears, so I can relate. I was pretty happy with how the stocking/legging things came out myself (well...I could say that about many parts of this drawing....). I put alot of focus and work in on this one.

Geez, where do I begin?
First off, I love the little details you've added. The light reflecting off the bells, and the shimmer to the hair and waterfall.
That background, I love the atmospheric depth you added. It is just right and very accurate!
The meat of the pic however takes the entire cake.
I'm not much into feet tickling, but the way you did it is so much fun!
Yuei just holding and clawing at her foot, junction with the licking, and with her expression! She's enjoying every moment of this.
And the reaction of Societte's right foot is just as fun! I love how her toes are curled in vain as the fur of the tail is still able to get and brush in between them!
Societte's reaction is too much fun. Laughing, but not struggling nor putting up much of a fight.
I could write an entire essay on why this piece is awesome, but I'm no longer in school.
All in all, amazing work, as usual!

"But I'm no longer in school" lolol, that's a valid reason hahaha, but hey essay or not, that was still a pretty lengthy comment. If you double space it, might get a little over half a page done already. Maybe add in a citation or two hahaha
Anyways, essays aside, you analysis and compliments are concise and appreciated as always! Doing the lighting was fun and I'm glad to see you enjoyed the feet tickling aspect of it too on this one. Definitely one of my favorite foot pics I've drawn (probably top 5 tickling drawings I've done period) Having a character with a long tail like, means you can focus your hands on one foot without feeling like the other is being left out too much....haha, I'm pretty happy with this one still.

I still remember peeking at your gallery and watching you ages ago when you only had a few pictures out, thinking "Hey this guy's pretty good!" And then you start putting out stuff like this and just blow everyone away!
This has got to be the most visually stunning picture I've ever seen from anyone in the community hands down. You really are taking it to the next level here. Can't imagine how much time you sunk into this, but by god did it pay off in every way! Cute characters, fun scenario, great scenery, gorgeous rendering all around.

I just want to make sure people get pretty good drawings for their commissions. On my own work (whenever I get back to it) it'll probably be a bit lazier hahaha, maybe I dunno... ButΒ it's really fun to share art with this community. There's a ton of tickling art/artists on DA and other sitesΒ I liked when I was younger, like SassySnakes and the artist that draw all the SailorMoon tickling pics, so it's cool to be able to add some quality tickling art to the community after growing up and seeing things change and grow...

Where to begin...
The fur, the freaking fur is so detailed and well colored, the pieces of clothing looks so natural and are really well shaded, the ornaments in the hair and clothes looks amazing, the expressions are so adorable the feet look great and that background is so pretty....
Without exaggeration, this is one of the very best pieces I've seen in this site, the level of detail and love put into it is mind blowing. This is honestly what everyone should strive to make someday. Outstanding work here!

Wow. That looks like it was a lot of work. All those fur lines and hair lines, the wrinkles and light catching in those leggings, the folds in those loose sleeves...
Those are quite the outfits too. I often wonder how artists manage to come up with such outlandish outfits? I suppose the makers of Granblue Fantasy deserve credit for that though. Back when I was trying to draw, I really struggled with brainstorming outfits for my OCs.Β
Anyway, this would be the second Granblue Fantasy fan art that I've seen. The funny thing is how 100% of my exposure to Granblue is from the fan art. It certainly comes across as a rich source for fan artists.Β

Oh hey, it's the sage. Thanks again for the truthful sage analysis haha. Yeah, it definitely took quite a bit of effort and time for everything, but it was enjoyable.
Alot of the character designs for Granblue Fantasy are really nice; You should definitely give them a look-see if you haven't already. As far as Character Design for OCs goes, I guess it's just something that comes with practice over time (like most things), but it definitely doesn't hurt to have a mental rolodex of character and outfit designs from other artist, games, shows etc. Taking in other work that I like has always helped me with creating outfits. Even looking up historical or cultural clothing from different times.Β
And pretty much the same here. I mostly know Granblue from fanart.

Gotta say, I'm pretty sure you have more fun with my screen name than anyone else I've met on Deviant Art. It's been with me for about 20 years thanks to some early philosophy kick I had way back in middle school. Since then, it just grew on me and became my screen name for every other site that I used. Sometimes I worry about the effect it has on first impressions.
Your advice for OC outfits sounds pretty good. Lately, I've been much more focused on writing than drawing and the same advice seems to apply there. Finding what you like in other peoples' work and applying it to your own style.Β
Speaking of OCs, I noticed how a huge chunk of your recent work lately has been commissions. Do you have any personal ideas of your own in the works, or have you been focused solely on commissions? There's nothing wrong with that, by the way. I'm just curious about what you'd want to create if you weren't busy with commissions.Β

Heh, the word "sage" has a decent amount of importance in my life, so I guess that's why I enjoy your username. I enjoy philosophy and stuff like that alot. Actually I started reading a book on Buddhism and Zen earlier just this week now that I think about it. ...Plus, not too many people that are into tickling would use a name like that, so it kinda pops out in comparison to others.
And yeah, there's some personal original work I might put out later on, but for now I've just been focusing on commission work. It won't be too too long before I need to move out of my family's house, so these commissions are going towards getting a car to be honest. Trying to save up. Plus the commissions help me with improving my skills. heh. But I definitely have some loose personal tickling related ideas...nothing too serious, just fun little stories around some characters I've made for the most part.

Very interesting, and flattering. I'm actually part of a Buddhist group myself. I'm not 100% on board with this particular one at the moment. I like their friendliness, and their emphasis on compassion and mind over matter, but they put me off whenever they start encouraging proselytizing. This particular group can be uncomfortably evangelical, so I try to keep them at arm's length. If I can find another Buddhist group in the area, I might switch.Β
It's also interesting what you said about typical usernames. I've noticed how lots of tickling enthusiasts tend to use names that relate to their fetish. I suppose it helps when you're trying to lure people in to see your work, kind of like naming a Chinese restaurant "House of Dumplings".
I suppose I just don't want to be defined by my fetish. Even accepting it as a part of me has been a challenge for most of my life, so I'm hesitant to start waving the fetish flag. Also, like you, the name I chose has been important to me as well, although I tend to think of myself more as a seeker rather than a sage.Β
That's quite the ambition you have. Certainly a great way to keep yourself motivated. Learning to draw what other people want could also be great for teaching yourself how to appeal to your customers and profit more from your work. Just make sure to remember that this is your hobby as well as your profession. When people start paying you to do what you love, over time, it can be easy to forget that you used to enjoy doing it for its own sake.
Anyway, good luck with raising your car funds. I may be light-years behind you when it comes to making pictures, but I'll speak up if I manage to think of any suggestions for your recent submissions. Keep up the good work.Β

Ohhh? I've never really been much of a fan for evangelizing so I can understand how that must feel...nor have I ever really been a fan of being part of a group (for the most part, aheh).
Usernames are interesting like that. Mine's admittedly pretty weird since it's not really indicative of what I draw, nor who I am, but I have my reasons for it. You identifying yourself as a seeker instead of a sage already shows a level of humble wisdom if you ask me. That's definitely a sage thing to do hahaha, you're username fits for sure... as for accepting a fetish as part of your life, I can relate. I always find it interesting when I hear that from people, since it seems that there's alot of us that struggle with figuring out that part of ourselves. Ironically, a good part of why I gained more of an interests in philosophy and world religions etc. is because of the internal struggle that came from this fetish. So I appreciate that side of myself, but I definitely understand the hesitation and not wanting solely your fetish to define you, even through a username.
I'll definitely heed that advice about enjoying what I love and profession. Thanks for that. And thanks for the well wishes too, I'll need that good luck for sure haha
