Description Watercolor on hot press paper, approx 6"x8", digitally edited.

An Andorian fighter, or, technically, an  Orion disguised as an Andorian. Based on photo refs taken at the Trek in the Park performance of "Journey to Babel" in Portland, Oregon, in 2012.

Okay, for some reason, this scenario popped into my head:

Andorian: Gimme your dough!

Lorna:  Ahhh!  He's got a knife!

Crocodile Dundee (appears out of nowhere):  That's not a knife.  (with a wink, whips out his handy dandy Aussie cutlery)  THAT'S a knife.

Andorian decides he has bigger fish to fry and beats a hasty retreat.

Dundee:  So, Miss Lorna, when were you going to start writing stories about rugged Aussies instead of those martini-sipping elf blokes?

Lorna:  Yeah, that's how my mind works.  Great picture!

Ahhh, crossovers! Gotta love 'em. I guess that's what Kirk needed in this scene, a bigger knife. Or a hunky Australian co-star.

Some day perhaps I too will write a crossover fanfic. What do you think, Lorna, is the world ready for an epic Star Trek / Star Wars / Doctor Who / Downton Abbey saga?

You bet it is! For those who aren't, get yourselves ready, people!

Let's see: Kirk, a hunky Australian co-star who shows him how to use a real knife, a martini (translate: Romulan ale) sipping space elf who complicates things, a heroine all three of them happen to fall for--what could be better?  You know I'd read it!

This reminds me of the late great Jon Pertwee who played the Third Doctor from Doctor Who way back in the early 70s. He would've made a great looking Andorian.

Interesting observation! Now that you point it out, I can see a bit of a resemblance. Jon Pertwee was a wonderful Doctor, so stylish and debonair in that role.

Thanks for the fave!

Thank you! Painting this brought back a lot of good memories. Trek in the Park was fun.

Trek in the Park? Awesome!

Gotta love TOS Andorians. Nice little details, esp. the striped tunic and the gold studs on the vest. I like the way you did all the shadows, particularly in the white areas of his hair and shirt.
