Her name is Tricha.She's a therapy dog in a children's hospital, and she lives with an elderly couple.
She's the sweetest dog I know of, however everyone who see her leave in fear, they talk bad about her, they keep saying how "vicious" she looks, even with her beautiful pink collar.
The media labels pit bulls and other dog breeds as vicious and kid killers, however this girl right here spends everyday with young children, and she loves people of all sorts.
So please, for the sake of Pit Bulls and other dog breeds, stop BSL (Breed Specific Legislation)
And for everyone ; Research the dog breed you want before getting the dog, it could save many lives ; dog and human.

gorgeous girl! and yes, pitbulls are incredible dogs! they are wonderful for almost all home types, making them even better in my opinion! they can just fit into so many situations happily as long as they're loved. so versatile!

She's not pure AmStaff, she's an APBT x Amstaff mix and I wrote APBT to generalize since everyone is afraid of them.

Staffies are where American Pitties came from they are essentially the same breed anyways, Staffies are just smaller and the AKC recognizes them.

Bsl can be stopped by joining local breed clubs, and to write to politicians and media about these matters... (boring answer. I know) You only have to stop the laws, not convince everyone. Unfortunately, some people will allways be fearful of dogs and they will allways assume the worst.
I'm a staffordshire bull terrier owner myself. Love the breed. In Norway, where I live Pitbulls are illegal (totally unjustified). American staffordshire bull terriers have been outlawed as well. The reason? They look like Pitbulls. The police couldn't tell the difference, so they made them illegal to make things easier for the officers...
It is very hard to remove a law after it has been made, much easier to be active in preventing new laws.

she's beautiful... I own an amstaff female and she's the sweetest dog ever.. when I said I was gonna buy an amstaff my family had mostly negative feelings about it considering the breed... my friends were wary of her and approached her very reluctantly even when she was a pup... but once they all realized how sweet she is they all fell in love with her... now she's a spoiled little princess hahaha

Sadly enough, we breed these skills into dogs. Terriers were made to serve the purpose of hunting. In a sense, they call a Rat Terrier that for a reason. They were rat-dogs bred to keep rats out of barns and such. As for the above image Stratfordshire Terriers have a bad wrap. There nick name Pit Bull, as you might guess came from what they used it for. Pit Dogs. I knew a couple that had 3 of them. Nicest dogs in the world. It's a pity we can't all have open minds about dogs. Each dog is different, and like people.. can't all be wrong because of where they came from.

American Staffordshire Terriers were bred to fight bull and were used for dog fighting, thus why they can become dog aggressive if not properly socialized, however they should not be human aggressive, I can't believe people still believe they are viscious dogs :/

Ironically, pit bulls are generally extremely friendly to humans. Saddens me that humans can make such monsters out of docile animals that we, ourselves, created.
