I started this piece with the intention to make a sequal to the "Jungle Dryad", maybe just to test my current skills. Can't believe that's already 7 years ago now. I also didn't work on a bigger personal piece for quite some time.

I still like some of the same themes visually, like human (female) anatomy, nature, colored light, but I felt the first dryad artwork never told a story or had any meaning. My first idea was just to show a nice pond with a lot of water lilies and a dryad, but that felt blunt after I did some sketches. And I put some more time into the composition and colors, although there are still some areas I would do differently if I had to start it all over again. But that's not suprising I guess.
