Description The battlefield game of Whirl-Around. A game that Alaereen play in combat theaters where the fighting is easy, and the officers are lax.

The rules are simple. A captured and disarmed Human is placed in a ration-cup and spun around it can't stand up straight. The diminutive alien is then let loose, and whichever Alaerin it falls on get to carry it back to camp. In whatever manner she deems fit.

Alaereens were dreamed up by If they're not really this playful, they're at least close.

While sketching this, it started looking like all my Alareen faces looked the same. Am I imagining things, or do I need to lean some new facial structures?

Heh, that looks like a fun and interesting way to meet ones enemy. Luck for Humans that the Alaereen are good natured.

Yeah 'fun and interesting' but in retrospect. After the world has stopped spinning.

I'll say that Warrior has a decent point of it being a bit, iffy, but so long as it's only done the one time til they're brought back to base it might not be so bad. I can see, however, there being just as many, if not more, alaerin that might find it pretty rude without the consent of the human(s) in question.

otherwise, as long as the human is at least aware of their intent, and part of the okay, I can see this being an interesting method of meeting alaerin after the fact.

btw, I tried looking it up but only found things mentioning it. What's a Combat Theater?

and yes, I will say that the three on the right have a rather noticible similarity, to me at least. the way the eyebrows are all up and the corners of their mouths, they do have similar structures, but your apparent talent with hair is enough to give them a bit more individuality.

Also, just an observation, but you only seem to differentiate height when a Psion is present. Even family members might have a head or more difference between their parents or sisters. Course that's different if a Psion is the fatheress of a non-psion.

anyway, just my opinion at the moment

Um, I think this is about the only time I've drawn multiple ordinary Alaereen together. At least together in the same plane.... So I wasn't imagining things on the faces. I'll have to work on that.

Combat Theater refures to a war front.
For example, in WWII, the three main Theaters were Europe (Against the Nazi's directly, and to a limited extent, Italy.), Africa (Against the same.) And The Pacific (Against Japan.).

Another whacky situation that you make quite believable. I wonder what the Alaerian command would think if she saw this?

I love the looks on the Alaerians' faces. Also like the guy the one in the back is holding - he's grabbing her hand and holding on for dear life. But at least he'll have a nice, warm, soft confinement on the way back to camp. The girl in the upper-right seems a it surprised where her comrade is putting her prisoner.

Y'know, I really should get around to drawing an officer's responce to all these hijinks...

Good to hear people like the expressions! And yeah, the Humans will at least be able to recover thier wits in confort.

think she's the current 'turn', so to speak. She's probably not quite figured out which way is up yet.

Bah ! They are just making them dizzy a bit. No physical or mental harm involved. But after that short lived "bullying", they get sweet "pet" treament.

I wouldn't mind being spun arround if it meant being carried in a soft bosom afterward. Would you ? I would most likely mind the POV camp thou. Unless...

Bah ! I guess you're in for the usual beating, painful restraints and trip back at the POV camp at the point of a weapon. Which is used to "push" you every now and then.

Then the usual POV camp. Similar treatment with forced labor thrown in. Small disgusting portions of food. If you are specialy unlucky, you might even end up in one of those camp were they torture prisoners in secret.

There is a reason why some just wont let themself captured alive.

To each is own I guess. I respect that. Personnaly, I would much rather be captured by Alaereen. For better or worst...
