SSBB: Kirby's Hats Ed. 1 SSBB: Kirby's Hat's Ed. 3

In my previous Kirby Hats deviation, I said I was going to do more Kirby hats of characters that I would like to play as in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and here it is! Again, I decided to use the soft-brush-shading I tried in my previous deviation, and I added a sky background instead of plain old white space. If you've got anything to say about either, feel free.

There are more Kirby hat designs to come, by the way, but for now, let me just offer this disclaimer once again:

NONE OF THESE CHARACTERS (AS OF TODAY, 6/14/06) HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED AS PLAYABLE IN SUPER SMASH BROS. BRAWL. THEY ARE ALL WISHFUL THINKING ON MY BEHALF.

Geno: There has been a veritable assload of support for this little Pinnochio-esque character to be a Smasher, and he's on Sakurai's list of considered characters. For those of you who don't know, Geno was a little wooden puppet (who was possessed by a spirit) in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars for the SNES. He mainly used laser beams and other high-powered attacks, and has garnered an intense fan collective over the years since his inception.

Personally, I don't give a rat's ass about Geno, seeing as how I've never played Super Mario RPG. However, I like Geno's design, and I figured he'd make a good Kirby hat. Plus, it would make a lot of people happy, being able to play as Geno again.

Captain Olimar: Being a fan of the Pikmin series, I just had to add Olimar to the Smash lineup. Plus, he's on Sakurai's list of considered characters. You have to admit, Kirby looks cute in Olimar's little space helmet.

Ryota Hayami: A lot of you viewers could get a little bit skeptical about this one. This young man from Wave Race: Blue Storm is one of the few characters who has to have special powers created for them so they can qualify as Smashers. In Wave Race: Blue Storm, all he does is ride a jetski; no powers, no fighting ability, nothing!

Then again, Captain Falcon and Fox just rode around in vehicles during their pre-Smash careers, and they had movesets for the game. That's why Ryota Hayami could concievably work. Captain Falcon was given a touch of fire to his moveset, so it would only be fair to give Ryota Hayami's moveset a little splash of water, if you catch my drift. Captain Falcon could use fiery moves, so why can't Ryota Hayami have aquatic-based punches and kicks? It could take a bit of brainstorming, but Ryota Hayami could work.

Mega Man: My first choice for the next third-party addition (and one of the few third-party characters who's 's on Sakurai's list of considered characters). People who know me well know that I am a fan of the Mega Man series, and I personally feel as though Mega Man could fit right in to the cast of Smash Bros. Brawl. Hopefully, Keiji Inafune will approve of having Mega Man become a Smasher...

Goemon: Kudos to those of you who know who this guy is. For the unenlightened, Goemon is from the Mystical Ninja (called Ganbare Goemon in Japan) series of games. Ever since playing Mystical Ninja starring Goemon for the N64, I've loved this series, and I have been waiting for Goemon to get more American exposure. It's pretty unlikely that Goemon will become a Smasher, but let it be known that if he is confirmed, I will undoubtedly be celebrating.

Some of you who have been keeping up with the Brawl news may have heard of the alleged character news . Let it be known that this was just a rumor. If this news was true, then it would have been posted on the actual Super Smash Bros. Website itself .
