They say Hetalia is everywhere these days, all these people are jumping onto the bandwagon. I like it. I'd still like it if nobody else did. I'll stop liking it long before everyone figures out what all the fuss is about.

I drew little doodles everywhere when I first got (really) into it. There's some inaccuracies, and the style sort of changes. A conglomeration and colouration of all these little drawings in between visual diary research & lecture notes.
What IS Futurism?
I just finished the main component of my Art history semester. Art history = 10 times more convoluted than normal history. Italians invented futurism, which was surprisingly macho and violence and machine-loving. Just goes to show you they weren't any more peaceloving than any other country, just inept on forcing their will on surrounding nations.

France niichan. I love him.
Drunk Cockney England. England and Australia are equally infamous around the globe for drinking like mad and not holding their liquor. We haven't inherited just the eyebrows!

Canada... lol his maple leaf looks like some weird blood stain or something. ;/ sorry dear Canadian friends. I know you > > the USA anyday.
Russia in what I figure to be the quintessential Russian headdress. I remember how we had to rug up back in the motherland in those icy Moscow winters...
(row 3) Hungary, I like her but can't draw her. This looks like something a 12 year old would do... lol.
Poland, ditto. But I like, totally love the way he talks. Aren't ponies so cute??
Germany. He's hard to draw too.
Switzerland. I LOVE his hairdo and trigger-happiness. But I have no idea what colour his uniform is... I figured blue would suit him. LOL.
Italy is last, in some colours I thought would suit him. Such a cutiepie!

On the left we have France, Russia and Italy. WHat is with those pointing fingers?
