to me i think the days would seem soooooooooo long and very uneventful. it really lifts my mood ... but then again some songs have a way of changing it.

the wall color was a mix between khaki and a mild taupe. and no.. they never ate this wall.

oh, songs can be quite inspiring to me, in fact, they are usually my inspiration..
this actually sort of reminds me sort of something that I might come up with, mostly because of the green wall though, since I've taken so many pictures in that green-walled house...
this is so beautiful though again, good title... I love the way you seem to be looking into the light like that.
Pretty dress and shoes, and I really like your pose...

my hair will NOT hold curl. i HATE it. everytime i try to curl it... 15 min later is straight as a board. which is funny cuz i have naturally curly hair and straighten it every day. i have found a secret tho... the day you want to curl... dont wash it. put hairspray in before you do anything and after. your hair will be hard as a rock and you can probably go head first into a wall and come out with it still curly. but i'm allergic to hairspray so that kinda sucks.

my hair is naturally straight but since i sleep with it down it gets all funkylicious so i straighten it lol but mines the same way, where it doesnt hold curls. and plus i just don't have enough time in the morning. but thats weird, i've never heard of anyone being allergic to hairspray!

yeah i'm a strange one. i was admitted to the ER once and when they asked what i was allergic too... i jokingly said.. 'hairspray'. like anyone was gonna be sprayin hairspray throughout the er.... but they wrote it on my wrist band anyways.

but definately try that. clean hair will not hold curl very well. i did this one modeling gig way back in high school and everytime they needed me... i was instructed NOT to wash my hair. thought it was gross but hey.. they seem to know what they are doin.

I love the composition and your pose. The lighting seems fairly well balanced, though the top left is maybe a little over-exposed. I'm not sure, but it kinda looks like there was a little camera shake or the camera wasn't completely in focus. I love the photo appart from that.

You make an excellent model btw...

to be honest... i dodged the heck out of it to make it light so you knew the source of light was coming from the top corner. haha probably could have done a better job at it ... but hahaha

Lol- Cheat!! Cheat!!! Only joking. Actually if anything I'm worse. I've done selective editing to entire sections of photos in the past - on some of my photos I've changed the hue of the skies to a more vibrant blue because it's more appealing. The most drastic change any of my photos has had done was the removal of a row of cars - but someone else did that for me, so I'm completely guilt-free

It really is a fantastic photo tho, I know how hard it can be to setup self-portraits up and get everything looking right, so you really did do a great job!

sometimes some editing is required to get the effect. i dont do much of it... only when i have something in mind when i take the photo. i will not settle on something if it falls short. i'll make it happen.

Yeah, me too - I try to do everything i can with the camera and stay faithful to the original scene, but a certain degree normally has to be done on the comp eventually - even if it's a slight slider adjustment here or there.

Besides... The colour response of most cameras set to RAW is pretty neutral, so a bit of work is generally required...

exactly. i shot the poppy reserve in both RAW and in jpg mode... the orange was so dull in RAW and so bright in jpg. haha i still dont like raw tho

Now if only I had the choice... It's RAW all the way with my Sigma.

Having said that I thnik I prefer the control that RAW gives over jpg/tiff so I prefer shooting in RAW and post processing afterwards. Slow, but it gives me an excuse as to why I have to edit my photos...

last time i shot in raw... everything came out with some mystery spots. kinda ruined that for me. every picture i had to clone them out.

My camera seems to pick up every last spec of dust imaginable - very annoying - esp after cleaning all glass there is. Takes me 5-10 mins to clean up - which isn't all THAT long really, just annoying.

I still love the power RAW gives you - but then again I'd be skrewed if I didn't like RAW files given the cam I have
