Description Yes. This is what I spent most of my week doing. After watching fullmetal alchemist, I decided (for whatever reason) that I needed to learn how to draw Ed. I don't know how successful I was. Most of this was from memory, after studying for an hour (AKA, watching the show). There are a few places where I cheated by looking at him and drawing at the same time. For the most though, this is all from memory and me practicing his character design. He's a fun guy to draw.

For your first attempts, these are AWESOME! Way better than I could've done, anyway... Keep up the great work!

BTW, out of curiosity...how long have you been into FMA? And what did you read/watch first?

I actually just got into it a couple weeks ago. I watched the entire first anime in two days. It was so good I couldn't stop. Now I'm starting on brotherhood, though I'm halted on episode 26 until the next season of english dubs comes out (I'm not into subs so I'm patiently waiting). I haven't read the manga yet, but I will when I'm done watching the animes.

Ahaha, so I'm not the only one who totally inhaled the first series! That's good. I can't wait for the rest of the Brotherhood dub to come out... *bounces* And I won't give anything away for you, but I will say this: EdWin fans are greatly rewarded in Brotherhood/the manga.

Yeah, I sat down one night, started watching it, and didn't stop until it was over. I only took breaks to eat, sleep, and do the bear necessities. lol. When it was over I was like "GAAAHHH! Nuuuuu! I WANT MOAR!"

...and I'm not into the romance much, but I guess since they seem right for each other I'll be ok with it. That one scene where Ed is all "These hands were meant to give life, not take it, Winry" made me all emotional. lol. I'm excited to see what happens (and thanks for not giving it away. I hate spoilers.)

LOL, same here. And I didn't like how it ended. I WANTED A COMPLETE EDWIN GOLDEN TRIO HAPPY ENDING DANGIT. Which is what drove me to start reading the manga...

Believe me, I'm not into romance either. But nonetheless, I adore EdWin. It's like an "unromantic romance" sort of thing. You don't NEED any mushy-kissy scenes to see how deeply they care for each other, which is exactly why I love it. Same with Roy and Riza. GUH THAT SCENE... <333 I got all emotional too. It's a powerful, defining moment for both Ed and Winry, and the relationship between them.

Yeah, the ending to the first anime was really bittersweet. Did you watch the movie? It helped tie up a few loose ends, but it still was not perfect. I'm a sucker for happy happy endings. Fullmetal does not satisfy that part of me.

Yes, that moment was quite definitive. And then later she's like "All this time... have I been... falling for him?" and I thought it was cute but at the same time I'm like "Nuuu, do NOT get all lovey on me!"

And all I can say for Roy and Riza is that I like their relationship. It's cute the way it's all strictly professional and everything. XD

Yeah, I was talking about the movie. I kinda consider it to be the 52nd FMA episode, so whenever I talk about the FMA ending, I'm usually referring to the movie.

Me too; I hate bittersweet endings. Which is why I'm SO thankful Brotherhood exists...and I'm not gonna say anything more than that... And my inner fangirl d'awwwed at that scene. <3 I think that's about as mushy as it ever gets...except for one part...which I also won't talk about...

And yes, I love that about Royai...and how Riza practically has to babysit him. xD

-nods- me too. I was like "WHYYYYYY?" It wasn't fair for it to end that way...

And I'm glad to know that brotherhood has a more satisfying ending. I can't wait to find out what happens. ^^

I always watch my favorite shows half for entertainment, and then the other half is watching it critically and learning about how it works. I payed special attention to Ed's design because I liked his character so much. ^^
