Being a gamer in Werewolf: The Apocalypse, I really appreciate the effort you put into this design. Yes, the initial transformation is painful. But the werewolf adapts quickly.

It's a live-action roleplaying game. Instead of being portrayed as evil (which the humans generally do, lol), they are defenders of earth defending it from a threat far greater than anything else on the planet...
...or, so I think. I'm a "cub (you know, a noob)" to the game right now so I don't know all the details. Look it up on wikipedia. They have a decent overview of the game.
