I'm still trying to figure out HOW to use the brushes correctly..... it kills me

i just use the hard round brush at different opacities..( but usually at 100 % for the flat colors layer )the trick to digi painting is layers

Thanks! I'll give it a shot. I ususally do each different "color" like the skin, shirt, hair, eyes, lips at a different layer.... Is that how you do it?

well usually the lineart above everything else set to multilply, and the yes different ayers bellow it for the clothes, hair, etc.. which i merge. dont merge the lineart just yettho, before shading and what not
