The next update will be Sunday night at 7:00pm EST on worldofavania.com as usual, but like the first issue before it there will be a brief intermission of sorts with the issue covers, as well as a compilation post for each of issue No.2′s chapters on the World of Avania blog.

It feels like things are moving along so quickly now as we are already on to the third issue of Avania… I hope you are enjoying the comic, and if so I hope you’ll consider watching, faving, or leaving a comment to let me know what you think! Analysis:
OWO What's this? A page with only FOUR panels?? What do you think this is--Chapter 1!?? (Hmmm same characters, but could just be a coincidence...) Anyway, this page takes things easy with some big panels and two wideshots, which I think is nice after the densely packed end-of-chapter pages preceding it. Technically this is the last page of the chapter, but it's a shift in focus so it's sort of a stand-alone interlude before the next chapter begins! As for the panel compositions, I like the shots and the poses, particularly Eiserne's here, despite being much less flamboyant!
If I drew it again:
This one is so short the shots don't really get repetitive, but I suppose there could be a bit more variation in framing since there are no close-up on their faces for example. Nothing really bothers me here though, so I don't think I'd change much... If I was changing other things though, this page could always accommodate more panels!
Favorite Panel:
Probably the third, because I like Eiserne's power flex... But I like all the panels in this one, so it's a tough choice!

Unicorns? We're talking about magic-using anthropomorphic horses here, not make-believe creatures!
If you're interested in how their magic works, there's a lot I could talk about... But I think it might best be answered in an Ask comic, because for a more thorough explanation some diagrams might be in order! For now, I've covered the topic indirectly here: Avania Mail - Demonian Equipment , but as the comic progresses more information about magic and their abilities will also be revealed!

It wasn't until recently that I learned that a horse's hoof wasn't a solid thing, but more of a giant fingernail, so getting rocks stuck in there I can understand how that would be quite the irritation! =^^=

Yep! Whether it's a stone or a bunch of muck, there's a lot to be mindful of with hooves...
And I spent plenty of time cleaning 'em out too, so it was a fun detail I didn't want to miss!

Officers and dedicated mages, yes, but not all equines can use magic. Much of their civilization's advanced technology is magic-based though, including "magi-lock" muskets which do not require the common soldiers to be magic-users.
