Thats odd, people never tell me to pray.... They always say "I will pray for you!" I MUST BE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT
also, I hope Maple can do something!

I agree with the last thought expressed in this comic. Most of the time in school, the people who seemed to be getting their work done in the timeliest manner didn't seem to have an awful lot on the ball.
The reasons for believing in the power of prayer are difficult for me to grasp. I'm not a believer in anything, but I accompany my wife and daughter to church every Sunday, and what has been said in sermons pretty much seems to be this: "It's only going to happen if it's in line with God's purpose." And "God's Will will be done." So if a prayer is going to be answered, there doesn't seem to be any reason to pray for it, since it was going to be granted in the first place, and if you pray for something outside of God's purpose you're only setting yourself up for disappointment. So. Yeah. In the end, it seems that the odds of a prayer's being answered are about the same as the Vegas odds on that same thing happening without intervention of any sort. And you need to be a believer in order to believe it.
