Then we'll see how long you play the pacifist."Now I've been doing quite a few Kingdom Hearts pictures lately..well before all the RWBY ones and I finally went about making one for my favorite KH villian, Vanitas! I love him and his Sora-lookalikeness lol I hope everyone likes it!

If he is the evil half of a Nobody, doesn't that mean he is only 25% Sora? My point is that Vanitas doesn't look like Sora, Sora looks a lot like Vanitas! XD

Vanitas is the darkness in Ventus who's heart stayed in Sora's body. They look alike because of when Sora's heart connected with Ventus's, it gave Vanitas an actual form. Vanitas has no connection to Roxas who I guess would actually be Ven's nobody..oh god this is so confusing! I hope you get what im saying lol

By that explanation, he has everything to do with Roxas and actually little to do with Sora. Ventus and Roxas are the same person. His name was changed to Roxas after he joined Organization XIII since each of their names are made by the letters of the original's name being rearranged with an x thrown in. Here are all of the currently known ones:
Lea= Axel
Isa= Saix
Braig= Xigbar
Dilan= Xaldin
Even= Vexen
Aeleus= Lexeaus
Ienzo= Zexion
Sora= Roxas
Xemnas= Ansem

I really wish the others were also revealed... I'd love to see exactly where Larxene came from, and who as well. Maybe she was Lea's ex-girlfriend.... XD
Also, Namine is Kairi's Nobody, but she was not a member of Organization XIII, but rather a tool they used for their plans involving Sora. So as Nobodys actually do develop their own hearts over time, it is more fitting that she has a name of her own. The members were mostly people who were made into Nobodys for use in Xehanort's plans. So most of them never had an individual name before becoming a member, therefore their own names really were the names they were given by Xemnas. Xion was actually more like a clone of a Nobody than anything. I guess you could say she was a Nobody of a Nobody, the one in question of course being Namine.
In short, Vanitas is the opposite of Xion. Vanitas represents Darkness and acts on it of his own free will since he is mostly used as a monkey wrench in the works of the plans of King Mickey. He is sent to literally just cause controlled chaos while Xehanort puts his plans into effect. Whereas Xion represents Light and is a vitally needed puppet used for the plans of Xemnas(who is again, an incarnation of Xehanort) to achieve the overall result he wants.
Vanitas= Obstacle to distract and ruin the efforts of the forces of Light
Xion= Small but important cog in the inner workings of the forces of Darkness
Like I said, opposites, but both highly involved in the life of Roxas/Ventus.Β

You are right lol When i was explaining that, I got more confused then I did actually playing the games. Your explanation is a lot better than mine and even eases all the confusion.

I just hope I didn't get anything wrong myself... That was mostly just how I understood it all. Dream Drop Distance really made me confused, so I wouldn't be surprised if something within that game discredited something I said. I tried to avoid the parts I wasn't sure about that involved it. But here is something I never understood.... Perhaps you have a theory about it.: Why doesn't Riku have a Nobody when he has the power of darkness and has been "copied" so many times before?
So far my only thought on that is that the darkness comes from his sword, Soul Eater, and thus the darkness only infects him and can be copied itself into a complete form that is sort of like a clone that only has his image instead of his heart being involved in its creation.... Like they cloned the dark power's memory of its host rather than capture him to make a Nobody.Β
O_O" I just realized something.... Who gave Kairi(I think...) the power of the Keyblade? Aqua. Who is basically the only purely Darkness-free heart of the trio? Aqua. Who would Xehanort want most to make a Nobody of for his own manipulation to also have the power of Light? Aqua. Who even remotely resembles Aqua? .........Xion! Xion is AQUA'S Nobody! That's why she got along with Roxas so well! And I believe she met Lea at one point too. She was the one who let Ventus and herself escape his clutches. She was an official Keyblade Master and therefore a prime candidate to be used as a warrior of light. Didn't she save Ventus by bringing him to King Mickey? Isn't that how his heart got in Sora? I'm confused now..... What even happened to Aqua after Birth By Sleep?

Aqua had been wandering around the realm of darkness the whole time after BBS and into all the games. She's the only one of the 3 that still has her body and mind still intact. It shows in one of the secret endings that she was found by Ansem the Wise after he exploded in KH2. Now Xion isn't a nobody at all, but a vessel for Sora's memories when he was asleep between Chain of Memories and KH 2. She was supposed to be a failsafe in case something went wrong with Roxas. She took on her look because of Sora's memory of Kairi. Ventus's heart got into Sora after they had first connected at the beginning of BBS and when he destroyed the X-blade inside of his heart; His heart wandered in the darkness until it found the light from Sora's heart.Β
