"Somewhere out there, there's this tree with star-shaped fruit... and the fruit represents an unbreakable connection. So as long as you and your friends carry good luck charms shaped like it, nothing can ever drive you apart. You'll always find your way back to each other. Technically, I think you're supposed to make them with seashells, but I did the best with what I had."To commemorate the release of Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Remix in Japan and the incoming December release in NA, I decided to make a picture for one of my favorite characters from the series. I love the series to pieces and I believe I will make more art for the other characters before the NA release. I hope everyone likes it!

I always liked Aqua. She was cool, nice, beautiful, smart, and clearly tough as well. She was the one who got the Mark of Mastery because she deserved it in all aspects of its title. She had leadership qualities as well as making a good teacher. She could excel in battle yet didn't seek any unnecessary conflicts. But her loyalty and sense of duty were two of her best traits. Although she was told to apprehend Terra when he went rogue, she tried her best to bring her friend back from the brink of being consumed by Darkness. Even after it was too late, she never gave up on him! She did what she had to do, but she refused to turn him over to anyone because she just wanted them all to be happy again. She may have even loved him(Although, it seemed like she was more into Ventus for some reason to me....). That look on her face while staring at Ventus when he was frozen was almost heartbreaking. She had suffered great loss with Terra already, and now Ventus was slipping away from her too. She would be losing everything she held dear if he was truly gone. But no matter how slim the chances, she'd do anything to help him.
The song Simple And Clean from Birth By Sleep always made me think of Aqua. It was like her inner thoughts of love in a place where nothing went wrong. I seriously can see her being in love with Ven more than Terra though. I'm not entirely sure why, but it just seems like he is the kind of guy she deserved. Terra was great, but his will was too weak.....could he really protect her from the darkness within himself?

I agree with all your points. Out of all the endings, Aqua's was the most depressing. I mean, sure, Ven went to sleep but he was safe and Terra became the biggest evil ever but Aqua was stuck wandering the Realm of Darkness alone worrying for her friends and the worlds for over 10 years. She is my favorite gameplay wise in Birth By Sleep..I mean she can cartwheel around and still be a badass lol

Gymnastics FTW!! XD Is it weird that the Aqua quote that I remember the most is "You guys would make the weirdest brothers!" I don't know, it is just what I remember best. Kind of like how the thing I remember best out of all of Terra's story is the fight with Braig. Probably because Xigbar is such a memorable character and Braig was who he is the Nobody of. Also, SHOOTING ME UPSIDE DOWN!!!! That time, he was just being a show-off! As if the teleporting wasn't annoying enough!

It's not weird lol I actually agreed with her. Braig makes gravity look totally nonexistent. Ughh you are right about fighting him! I remember fighting Xigbar in KH2 which annoyed me because he was all over the damn place. Then I fought Braig and suddenly Xigbar seemed much easier lol

The fact that the only time he seems vulnerable for long enough to hit him without taking damage is the two seconds it takes him to reload. It usually takes one second to find where he went..... So by the time I find him and attack, he has reloaded. And even if I hit him, he has me at point-blank range and just fires at me then teleports again! I still remember the sound of him reloading....the sound I had to use to find him immediately though hearing it meant I was already too late.

But I loved playing as him in 358/2 Days..... Running around Twilight Town shooting first and asking questions never! XD It was so rewarding to get the advantages he had. I also loved playing as Larxene(I love a lot of stuff about Larxene, but that is a different story.), but her weapons were a bit underwhelming. Her agile movement and dodging were fun though. She is the kind of girl who'd rather play with her prey before devouring it. Seriously, you'd think the best way to use those knives with that personality would be to close the distance and just stab the opponent while laughing and moving away before they can retaliate. She holds four between her fingers on each hand, and each one doesn't do much damage when thrown. So why doesn't she just stab opponents like the evil female version of Wolverine? Slow painful death, many chances of making them bleed profusely, literal backstabbing, the look of mixed surprise and fear when she doesn't throw them as expected, harder to block, does more damage, proof that she was there and had lots of fun killing them.... So much more Larxene-like then just doing the battle equivalent of playing Darts. I know that she can do that while playing as her and all, but the fact that it isn't her official method is a bit strange. She's a brutal murderer, not a silent assassin.

I agree. Both Xigbar and Larxene were enjoyable to play as in 358/2 Days. I loved playing as Xemnas because i mean c'mon Kingdom hearts version of lightsabers ftw lol

Yeah! His weapon is what taught me the word "ethereal" because I looked up the definition wondering what sort of swords come from the power of nothingness. His power is literally Nothing. But I guess you could say that it is the power to access a dimensional void or something. Does that make sense?

Yes. That makes sense. His character is supposed to be the epitome of nobodies being from nothingness so to have power from the void makes sense for him.

I can't follow all of the stuff in KH since I never played any of the console ones. Dream Drop Distance only made the overall plot even more convoluted. I have Xigbar to thank for basically telling me in it "Everything you know is wrong! Hahaha!" And he's right. I don't know what's what in that series anymore!
