Description Caihong juji is a species of anchiornithid avialae that lived in late jurassic China 161 million years ago. This dinosaur, together with Anchiornis huxleyi are some of the best preserved dinosaurs that ever discovered. This dinosaur is not only known to preserved with feathers, but also the pigments inside of the feathers. The colour details found by palaeontologists revealed that this dinosaur had iridescent rainbow feathers on head, neck, chest, and the base of the tail, while the rest are black. Both Caihong and Anchiornis lived 11 and 10 million years earlier than Archaeopteryx, and they also showed different forms than the later, as their legs are fully covered with flight feathers while Archaeopteryx only had their flight feathers covered just from the femur to tibia of the legs.
