This is another old wallpaper/picture I found that I decided to put up. I don't have much other artwork on here otherwise I'd upload some of those. So this is Kaname Chidori and Sousuke Sagaara from Full Metal Panic. Cute pic I think, good anime if you haven't seen it.Related content

I don't know whos work it is nor do i have any semblance of a person taking credit for it. It was a picture my ex found online a long time ago that someone drew, there was no name claiming ownership or anything of the sort. If you want me to put that the characters in the picture are copyrighted by whatever anime company i'll do that, as you can see I haven't posted a lot of entries or anything so I'm not entirely clear on the dos and donts of deviantart.

the lines on deviantart are pretty clear. If you didn't work on the piece itself, then it's considered copyright infringement. Deviantart is not like photobucket.

Well as I said, there was no name posted along with said picture, claiming credit. I can't give credit where there is no one and nowhere to give credit too. My ex worked on it, is that good enough?

Because it's frustrating to see people stealing work that's not theirs. Regardless whether they say it's not theirs, or post it as their own. This site is for artwork that you put effort into and you do yourself, not for things you randomly find on the internet and post it just because you like it. It doesn't work that way. If you want to do that, go to Photobucket because it's not appropriate here.
And I seriously doubt you worked on it. I've seen this picture before and it looks exactly the same from when I first saw it a couple years ago, and it's looked the same ever since then when I came across it.

well i am sorry i have offended you so terribly for what everyone else does on this myspace....i mean deviantart site, be glad people arent whoring themselves on here...no wait, they do that too. And i hate to tell you but considering civilization has existed for thousands of years, nothing is original anymore. Everything has been done numerous times before and will be copied in the future.

what a stupid response.. you have totally missed the point if you re-drew the picture it would be fine not if you directly re-post something that isn't yours and don't even know where the original is. please take it down and post something original or a better idea don't go on to a art website to begin with.

I never said they were in the right. They're not. But neither are you. You didn't draw this picture, you didn't color this picture...you honestly didn't do ANYTHING, and it really doesn't give you the right to post it, just because you LIKE it. At least people that copy ideas WORK to copy them. Like a screencap. Even though they can't think of anything relatively original to draw, they still draw it and put some sort of effort into it. You didn't do jack. If anything at all you thought it was cute to have. And that's what a lot of art thieves do on this site, and it's frustrating to see your own work stolen and used...just...because...you liked it.
If you don't have something you worked on to contribute, then you really shouldn't be posting here at all, and should stay on myspace. You're better off.

Actually yes. Stuff like this is making things such as the anime industry go down in smokes because people are too cheap to buy it instead of watching it on youtube. It's a huge problem.

That is not the problem. The problem is society's acceptance of these things. I don't think we are so different you and I. You know the only reason i posted it was cause it was a memory i had with my ex, something she found and set as our d.a. ids for awhile. I put it up cause I knew she would see it and I dunno, I guess I was hoping it would spark old feelings or something.
