Description Note: I may add fishiles to Fishoom at some point in the future, but I want to design them as a Pokemon in their own right beforehand. Right now I think the design is fine without them.

They represent the evolution of flying machines; the first stage is a Lilienthal Hang Glider, the second a biplane and the third a fighter jet.

Gillider
----------------------
Type: Water/flying
Derivation: Gill + Glider
Abilities: Swift Swim, Aerilate

Their pectoral fins have adapted to allow them to glide over the sea to escape predators and travel far distances; they always jump with the wind behind them to make the most of the gusts. During their glides, on occasion they have been known to accidentally collide with swimmers, sailors and such lips-first - giving them a big, wet, sloppy kiss! Their fins also possess float-like qualities, allowing them to fill with air and zoom to the water's surface at rapid speed when needed, or to give themselves a height boost in the air.

  Airquatic

Type: Water/flying
Derivation: Air + Aquatic
Abilities: Swift Swim, Aerilate

Thier dorsal and pectoral fins are developed for both swimming and flying, so they are equally at home underwater and in the air. They can move at high speeds when they want to, but seem to enjoy drifting and gliding peacefully on currents or updrafts; when they are in the air, they will often mistake planes for others of their kind, and glide along playfully beside them, giving the passengers a lovely sight.

Fishoom

Type: Water/flying
Derivation: Fish + Shoom, an onomatopoeia for flying jets
Abilities: Swift Swim, Aerilate

They can both fly and swim and supersonic speeds and can often be seen performing acrobatics and daredevil manoeuvres. When angered, they are fearsome in battle, soaring above their opponents and raining down fishiles in devastating bombardments.

Description: The user fires fish-shaped missiles at the target. Two to five missiles are launched in a row.

Love the design overall, but I find the yellow jagged bits remind me too much of an electric type. I assumed electric flying until I read the description. Perhaps a new paint job, but other than that, you're one of the few artists to successfully pull off a machine Pokémon hybrid without looking too silly.

Thanks very much, and the feedback is appreciated! I was going for a yellow dinghy sort of look - like buizel - but I agree that in hindsight, it was probably a little much. Perhaps an orange would have been better maybe that's something to try for the future! I'm pleased you like the general design, though!

Definitely better than the old cluttered design! The light and metallic colors work well with me, so I'm really liking the redesign C: The progression of their fins, beak, and eyes along the evolutions really add a nice touch ^^

Cool design and concept but the colour makes it look like one of those lime coloured shinies. It's the only part that makes me kinda dislike it. I am sorry.

In all honesty, I'm not a big fan of these ones myself - they seem to have kinda divided opinions for many people. They'll be re-designed in the future, since if there's something I dislike about a design - especially if it's something I can't place - it bugs the hell out of me.

I think Airquatic is perfect. But Gillider might need a slightly redesigned mouth. And Fishoom is a bit of a mess. Could be simplified.

Fishoom is the one that bothers me the most... I think I tried to do way to much with it and it came out all wrong, but when I designed it I wasn't exactly working at my best so it will be interesting to see how I can improve it in the future!

Nice choice of colors for this line, especially on Fishoom.

I like the overall concept behind this line, some thing about this line makes their designs seem a bit busy (particularly Fishoom, maybe having one less pair of fishile holders would help).

Thanks for the constructive crit too, I know what you mean - they are one of the designs that are on my list to update since I am happy with the general approach but there's something about them that bugs me too and I can't place my finger on it

Heheh thanks, I'm pleased you like them I was considering making the fishiles themselves a seperate design too (but keeping them as a feature for these guys of course ) Flying fish is always a good source of inspiration to draw from since they're pretty fascinating! Hmm as opposed to most people here, this design doesn't appeal to me much can't find what it is, but it hinges me off :/ i'll skip the critique for this one
However, I don't completely hate it, that's not what I'm saying XD I like the color scheme reminescent of military colors and the fact that they get more and more sleek (as well as more dangerous and aerodynamic!)

Hmm yeah this design isn't one of my faves either, though like you I don't dislike it as such. I dunno what it is about it though, so it may get a redesign in the future once I can put my finger in what I'd like to change about it! The colour scheme was the hardest part, so it's nice to know that it's one of the best features, thank you
