I'm so use to this criticism by now that it might as well be on my top 10 TSS criticism of 2017. A lot of fanboys feel the need to come for my life because I made it my goal to defend games against bullshit. And it's usually whenever I defend Sonic CD, Shadow the Hedgehog, or Sonic 06 is when these fanboys call me out and accuse me of mental gymnastic, being a hypocrite, and being a Sonic Adventure fanboy over it.Funny how people are like why can't we all just get along yet they still attack people for defending these 3 games. Heru said "Since when was it cool to hate on CD" so clearly this had to be a new thing since before the Christian Whitehead port nobody talked about Sonic CD and than suddenly I see millions of people attacking the Sega CD version and praise the Whitehead version though that isn't the topic for today (Cause it's no big deal) but the topic involve those being a dick over people knowing their stuff. I like to say they're trolls but they're lowkey serious and people call them "real" Sonic fans and Sega should listen to them and or they tell us to "Make our own games". We'll make our own games while you continue to trash Shadow and 06 even more.

I don't see people ever attacking the Sega CD version of Sonic CD, but I see many who bash on Shadow and Sonic '06. While Shadow and '06 have their problems, I do feel it is very unfair to bash on them simply for those problems.
Plus just because one person likes these games doesn't mean they should be criticized, after all, it's their opinion, and people are allowed to have an opinion. I mean, I knew someone years back who thought Sonic '06 wasn't really a bad game, and there are a few people who are willing to defend Sonic '06. I wouldn't say they're GREAT games though, but I do feel some of the hate is undeserved.

Well my stand on this games is quite simple
CD:Sucks properly one of the worst 2d Sonic games and it all comes down to the most bad shit insane level design in any 2d Sonic games.
Shadow:A massiv improvement over Sonic Heroes in just about Anything and I personally like it even more than SA2 only real issue is that the alternative path system could have been down a lot better and some of the side missions are just stupid (I thing Star Fox Command did a pretty good job showing how a the story could have been handled better. )
Sonic 06: Over hated? Yes. Good? no. decent enough to play through it and having fun? Yes.

Missing the point. The point was trying to call me out for defend games that everyone else (Cepect CD in certain case) said were irredeemable yet they continue to bash and hate these games especially Shadow and 06 for over 13 or 14 whole years.

Well you can't talk with this people there thing there are irredeemable and with this is no argument that you have of any meaning to them (especially for Shadow's game is this always funny given that many hates of it love heroes and love to talk about Gameplay when Shadow has objectively better Gameplay than Heroes).
And this people will never let go of Shadow and 06 because the moment there stop Sega may actually hear the voice of someone that likes this games or the Adventure games and would so end this peoples beloved Lighthearted Nostalgia train.

Well i myself have given criticism to these games but its not without reason.
Sonic CD does have a level design issue, Shadow the hedgehog has a severe identity crisis and Sonic 06 was a rushed mess of a game.
Now i can mostly pardon Sonic CD as that is when the first split came between Sega of america's Sonic and Japans sonic but Sonic CD did feature a lot of cool mechanics in it only hampered by some of the odd level designs seen in it.
Shadow the hedgehog is actually not a bad game but man is it really bad in its storytelling, the multi path endings too are really nuts too and one can tell it was not a game of love sega saw shadows popularity and went with it.
As for 06 I really cant defend it at all, it really is a mess of a game.
06 is called the beginning of the dark age of sonic for a reason, now i disagree with that statement as i think Sonics dark age started with Shadow the hedgehog but that is just a opinion.

The Dark Age of Sonic started with Free Riders in 2010, included Sonic 4, Colors, Generations, Lost Worlds, & the Boom games. Shadow the Hedgehog (& Rush) simply started Sonic's Silver Age we'll refer to as the 4kids era for its VAs. I can defend 06, Shadow's story in that game was epic. Silver's was good, & Sonic's was ok, everything looked great. Unfortunately the game was severely rushed & people really overhate 06 because of some kiss scene. I would gladly take the story of 06 over the crap we've been getting from Pontac & Graff.

That really does kill me as a CD fan I like all versions of the game and I played the CD version but I grew up with the PC version of the game (not the steam on the actual CD Rom) people tend to go ad hominem over certain things but I think I'll say this. I'll defend certain things of a game but I won't defend the whole thing unless I'm geared to know full well it's worth defending. People can like 06 but there isn't any need for defending the game at all. Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 despite issues regarding technical hiccups (more to 1 than the sequel as the sequel handles things a lot better) are great games to me even though I like Adventure 1 more than 2 it's just preference. There's this whole "lesser being" ideology with people where they thing because someone may like what the majority doesn't and vice versa or because of a certain reputation the opinion is invalidated by the person they're talking with. Broadening the arguement just mentioning being a Sonic fan gets this result as even though there are some ANNOYING people in the community just being a fan of something shouldn't be indicative of anything.

Most of those fanboys happen to worship Clement, SomeCallMeJohnny and BullShit(BrainScratch)Commentaries, don't bother with them if you don't want to be sent death threats (mostly towards people who enjoyed Shadow The Hedgehog), it's pointless, because if you have a retort to their opinions, you've already committed a crime in their eyes and you must be crucified for it.

This was all on face where I got two people on my ass about defending Sonic CD and Shadow the Hedgehog (recently). The 06 complain were here on DA because you can defend every other Sonic game but not those 3.

I like John and BSC but I never cared for Clement. I don't hold anything against them because they're entitled to their opinion my issue is with people taking their word as gospel going further than just agreeing with certain points but looking at their videos as proof. This is a FINE line of fallacy people seem to cross when dealing with internet reviewers.

I actually do enjoy some of Clement's videos but I could not watch his Shadow The Hedgehog playthrough with out him over-exaggerating on how much of a "mistake" Shadow The Hedgehog was, but like I mentioned in my Cool Content for Sonic post, the Megaman X and MegamanZero games had a more darker AND violent portrayal, if that's not enough, BOTH spin-offs have a cult following.

I couldn't watch the BSC shadow playthrough but this is more of the fault of Amanda. I couldn't watch their revisit of Sonic Adventure 2 because of Ted's fanboying over the game and how he felt like that annoying "let me tell you about my bestest game ever!!!!" type of fan. Nothing against Adventure 2 but I hate how people tend to try and overglorify it.
