A little side trip on the holiday weekend?  We were fortunate to not get any snow here; it was all around us.
Great picture.

Yup yup!

Had a great time even with the disasters.

Two years ago the weather on the Peninsula was wonderful.  This year not so much.  It poured rain all Friday until sunset.  Than it snowed  that night.  I'm convinced no one in Eastern WA knows how to drive in the snow.  So we came come early.  Got to Kingston and just missed the ferry.  Hey I can handle a 40 minute wait.  Then there was a power failure in Edmonds and they could not raise the car ramp.  Well in Kingston we could not load the ferry until the ferry at the Edmonds dock had cleared the terminal.  Stuck in the middle of the staging area we could not leave.  It was a 3 hour wait to fix the generator at Edmonds before we could load for the trip across the sound.  We were almost diverted to the Coleman Dock in Seattle.  I have no idea how long it took to fix the electoral problem.

And we've yet to have snow in the Valley I live in

I always liked the way trees look when there is a fine layer of frost on them.

Very nice result

That kind of snow is unusual over on the Peninsula...much more common on my side of the mountains.

We still have about an inch of snow here in my valley.

Oh, and thank you!

This was taken 150 miles west of where I live...in the area that is supposed to be wet not snowy.

Home has only a trace that has lasted for weeks because it is so cold.

I'm not ready for the cold..and I'm never ready for snow.

Cold and snow...in this climate that is typically something you have to relocate to avoid.
But I do agree!

Me too...and I like the spring, summer and fall here.  So 3 out of 4 is not a bad average.

I'm with you 100%! I could very easily do without winter..unless winter is sunny and 70 degrees!

Unfortunately the dry side of the state where I live relies on the winter snowpack for hydorpower, agriculture and winter tourism.

I live in the valley...so lets agree to keep it in the mountains.
