The look on their faces
Dodrio, the third wheel pokemon.

Wow, cool. I guess three heads are better than one. This evolution line has a weird case of neck color. In the old generations, Doduo had black necks while Dodrio had tan necks. In the new generation, the males have black necks while the females have tan necks. If someone looked at the old games, an evolving Doduo would appear to have a gender bender. In real life male birds tend to have fancier plumage in order to attract the females. The classic example is the peacock. Maybe male doduo and dodrio have black necks, because it is a bit shower and stands out from the rest of the body. That may be enough to sway the ladies. Of all the bird Pokemon unfezant has the most obvious gender differences.
