So here's the completed piece.Is it wierd that my favorite part is the bowstring?
I learned a lot doing this. Metal tones, leather tones, wood tones, how to make textures meld together like a big melting pot of.... texture...
I also learned how to use contrasting colors in a vague sort of way. Let me know what you think about it. I'm always up for a game of "lets help the artist improve"

I like your style. I am looking for new archer poses. The Queen has a husband, the King, and I drew him out, and the perspective looks fine in a sketch, but after beginning to "flesh" it out, it looks all off. Her pose isn't the best, but it's tolerable, haha.
But yeah, if you knew where I could get some archer stock or something like that, that would be great!

Well, I'm trying to do one based off of a pose of a guy facing the viewer. It's the "husband" of the Queen of Diamonds, and he wears a black panther beast-type thing pelt over his head that drapes down his back.
Since these pictures are supposed to be for a deck of cards for war (Hearts=humans; Diamonds=elves; Spades=demons; clubs=merpeople) They're supposed to look like they are attacking or retreating from the viewer.
So essentially I'm looking for cool attacking poses for my king. I can figure out most of the lower body anatomy, but just the perspective of drawing a bowsting point blank is throwing me off.

I'm working on making her a little better. I flipped her (like looking in a mirror) and there are A LOT of things that need to be fixed. She just looks... off. And one of her eyes is all big and droopy, so I need to fix that too. Nothing photoshop can't take care of! XD

haha, it just takes tons of practice. If you draw every day, soon it will be easy. Just look at details, and lots of pictures of how you would like to draw. REad tutorials, and follow them carefully.

haha, just being a copy-cat. It helps to look at paintings and try to recreate them. That way, you know where shadows and lights go, as well as lines for different body parts.

XD I used to be able to do wolf tattoos, but they turned out ugly after a while.
