A cedar waxwing mug which I threw on the wheel, trimmed, added a comfortable extruded handle (okay, okay, I hate pulling handles with a passion!!), bisqued, hand-painted with a cedar waxwing on berry bushes (cedar waxwings LOVE berries!) in engobe, glazed with two colors, and then fired the second and final time.The opposite side has more berry bushes.
Cone 6 oxidation.

Raaaaa, I would've had I known! I will definitely definitely be making more bird mugs. I have one in progress and plan on making more starting next month. I loooove this color. I use it a lot. In some lights it's more green and in some more blue. <3
Cedar waxwings are SO awesome. I was so delighted the first time I saw a flock. They just don't look real, their feathers are so smooth, and those little waxy bits!
