Ni hao, everybody and congratulations on surviving another year in this strange little world of ours. I don’t know about you, but this is by far the cringiest year I have ever lived through. I can understand now why my university has got an entire floor dedicated to law studies but even then, a single act of common sense is more beneficial than all the political scat dump everybody has been churning out don’t you think? This year we’ve got a record number of Major League Human Stupidity starting with the British Brexit, the complications prior to the Brazilian Olympic, Australia’s federal election scare, Turkey’s coup (again), Hong Kong’s administration blunder, Russia’s meddling in the Middle East, the Philippine vigilante issue, South Korea’s presidential scandal and to top it all off, America’s worst presidential election ever!
Well, luckily things around here are a lot mellower than outside. Bit of activity here and there. We got about 140 submissions this year from our fellow artists with very little hiccups. Around 50 new members and 3 new affiliates. Thank you to the ones for putting in the time and effort in contributing to the club and the fandom.
Not a lot of games came out this year compared to last, instead the movie industry has been on the roll with entertainment such as Fantastic Beasts, Moana, Star Trek, Finding Dory, Rogue One, Zootopia and Deadpool (this version actually turned out great this time). Last year, we got hyped with PSMD. For this year, Gen 7 makes its debut as Sun and Moon and it didn’t fail to impress nor fill our internet with more memes than ever.
Congratulations to KAT-attack01 , Twero and MichiganWolf for scoring top 3 in our RD Photography Contest. You guys deserve it for all the hard yakka you’ve put into your submissions.
Kudos to Deathxael , SilyaBeeodess and IvyFazbear for winning top 3 in the RD Videogame Contest. This fanclub wouldn’t be exciting without your contributions.
So Tammy being Tammy, has beguiled us with the latest ongoing RD comic OUaD and is so far keeping us in suspense. At the same time, Ice Climbers has reached “Stage 4” while we’ve finally learned the real names of Blue and Orange, i.e. those Japanese squid kids I mentioned last year (Nintendo! Why U Still No Hire Her!). But don’t worry, there’s still plenty of ships in the harbour waiting to sail… or sink to our pleasure. *Toot-toot~*
In other news, welcome! Aurasoulhikari ! Thanks for offering your time to help out around the place. Don’t have to worry too much, things aren’t too hectic around here compared to other places so take it nice and slow.
Lastly, BucketListMod has stepped down as Contest and project organizer this year. Thank you for your time and dedication in helping out the fanclub girl! May you find excitement and success in your future endeavours. Go check out her page when you have the time, her Sonic and Pokemon stories are an entertaining read.

Wow! that was a great recap of 2016! Sure it was a wild ride!
And I'm glad being able to participate the Photograph contest! I loved the entry (and still a bit sad for not finishing my entry to the last contest, but you'll see it finish soon enough) and the theme was great!
Shall in 2017 we got blessed with more good news, the conclusion of RD main series (who guessed we'd reach this one, huh?) and many other things!

Everyone knows you're fabulous!
We basically had our own mini-America campaign with both main parties (Labor and Liberals) trying to tell how incompetent to other is to the point Labor did a scare campaign on our country's medicare system, saying it's at risk of funding cuts (something which we value a lot down here). Most of us didn't buy it so we crucified the Labor party and gave the election to the Liberals. Unfortunately during the campaign confusion combined with xenophobia, the whole mess allowed our own literal version of Trump, who has existed since the 90s, to gain a few seats in the Senate. And unlike you Americans, we know (but apparently no longer care) how badly they planned to run the country. Try to look up one of the documentaries if you can, the way those whores tried to create a new economic plan back then was idiocy to the extremes!

What is with this rise in xenophobia? Us, u, the Brits, it seems like it's getting worse.
My American mind doesn't understand the other worlds political parties. Here liberal and conservative is a political mindset but isn't an actual party. (Though the Democrats are mostly Liberal and the Republicans mostly Conservative) and we don't even have a Labour Party whatever that is
This mudslinging and childish name calling in Western politics is so fucking embarrassing and ridiculous. It's no wonder most of the peeps s in our generation don't vote or lose faith in our political systems

Basically kinda like your Republicans and Democrats, our Liberals are conservative and right-winged while the Labor Party is socialist and left-winged.
Compared to 4 years ago, it's now almost impossible for me to figure out what our leaders are actually leaning towards. They always change ideas just to get more votes and are now neck deep in internal squabble to do anything worthwhile.
