You did an incredible job on this. Your detail is amazing even on paper! You wouldn't have any tips for a novice artist would you?

Practice, practice, and more practice. You heard that already, but it's true.
Another tip I can give is to sketch with a hard pencil like 2H or B. It makes it easier to erase mistakes later. When you want to start detailing, keep in mind where you want the light to come from. Leave bright areas blank and fill in shadows with a softer pencil like 3B or 4B. For the absolute dark areas 8B is the softest Graphite pencil. If you want to go even darker, like pure black, a charcoal pencil is perfect. I applied all of this in my collage of Wally [link]
One thing to keep in mind when drawing, is that you can't easily erase it like you can do in the computer. Also, everything is static and can't be warped or moved like in a digital drawing. However, I have a secret. I use an electric eraser.

Thank you so much! I have this set of drawling pencils that I've had for several years that I never used. I pulled them out the other day to finally use them. And I had no idea what the numbers and letters ment on the ends of the pencils. But now I know thanks to you. Your tips will not go wasted, Thank you.

I could've done hours more to it, but I stopped. Truthfully I couldn't believe what I was drawing. After I was done, I was thinking "Did I just do that?!" It was so easy! I think the art study on CASF helped me a ton. I recommend you do art studies as well, it's amazing how much you learn.

I'll have to take you up on the offer to be honest because they do work, well tutorials at least so far, I didnt have a style to draw dragons but now as you can see thats my style, and CASF's expression chart has halped me on the expressions aton, so i'll try one of the art study you did. maybe i'll do one on hers too or yours. I just still need aton of TLC on the digital side of coloring and stuff like that. Guess Im getting tablet next weekend.

Ah good, a lot of practice is good. One thing to keep in mind, is to not spend to much time in one area. Get the whole drawing done, and then go back and do touch ups in some areas. It will quicken the drawing time.

ok well i can try to do that again, but it'll take me awhile again. maybe two days to finish? or all day if I step it up, and I talked to shalonesk too she uses a tablet as well. well that just proves it does make it easier on the line art to do.

Mine starts today, but I have to get it done by Thursday. I'm planning to just do it so I can give myself a weeks vacation. My classes ends and starts right next to each other.

So..you go to school on saturday too? Weird.
You have a WAY other schedule than we have. It seems complicated, compared to our schedule.

I create my own schedule, I attend college online...so that means I'm in school whenever I feel like it. Sadly I wait to long and I'm forced to do most of my work on Saturdays.
