Description So, uh, fun fact: This has been done for a week except for the background which I literally just did right now.

Another random bust shot, this time featuring Caleb...standing there and staring blankly or something.

These bust things are kinda fun, actually. I get to work out little character design details without having to anatomy much.

Using a tablet. I'm too dumb to figure the pen tool out.

It is. You have to like, outline the lines and it's so tedious and I don't understand why people think it's easier.

Its better on Illustrator because there are a lot more options, but it can still be very annoying.

Well, I have the lineart on its own layer, and then I paint in the flat colors, each color on its own layer. I put a really simple gradient in the background so I can remember where the lighting is coming from. From there I just use the brush tool to draw in the shadows and highlights, going one shade at a time. After all the shading's done, I erase anything outside of the lines.

I'm not too great at explaining these sort of things, but hopefully that helps.

This cel shading is kinda fun, actually. It looks cleaner than my less-than-stellar digital painting skills, anyway.

I imagine there's a joke he's completely failing to comprehend or something.
