Los Pumas, how much I love you. Argentina had such a good year. Home Test series win over Scotland, Big Win over Australia, First Ever Win over the All Blacks in Aotearoa and a first win over England in London for 16 years. However, the autumn wasn’t so good.

Los Pumas started off their tour of Great Britain with a 30-29 win over the Roses at Twickenham. Thanks to the boot of Emiliano Boffelli, they secured a famous win.

However, things turned South as they lost them to the Dragons in Cardiff. Despite looking promising, Argentina weren’t able to break Wales and lost the match, giving Wales their only win of the autumn and only their 3rd win this year.

And then, things fell apart against the Thistles. Scotland completely crushed Los Pumas in Edinburgh to end their awful year on a high and gain revenge for the summer loss. Pretty Disappointing.

Argentina have an easy pool ahead of the them in the Rugby World Cup, with England, Samoa, Japan and fellow South American Neighbours Chile awaiting them (Still wish Spain got into the tournament). I look forward to this group, as under former Australia Coach Micheal Cheika, Los Pumas could top their pool and get far, just like they did 15 years ago in the World Cup in 2007, where they topped their Pool and finished 3rd in the tournament behind South Africa and England.
