dunque, l'alluminio in sΓ© Γ¨ leggerissimo per cui nessun problema. i pezzi poi sono stati tagliati in modo che il piede potesse piegarsi in modo naturale.
gli unici 2 punti problematici sono stati il collo del piede e il retro del ginocchio (ovvero non potevo salire/scendere le scale XD )

stiamo parlando di lamiera di alluminio, non è così morbida. l'armatura è tornata a casa sana e salva...ero io che quella piena di graffi XD e con i piedi distrutti T__T

I have fallen in love with your Saber Lily cosplay. I cosplay Saber myself and it's always great to see other Fate/Stay Night fans from around the world. I just wanted to say that your cosplay is stunning and your armor is absolutely gorgeous.

I love Saber too and, even if I like the "blue standard version", I just wanted to do something different, something not very cosplayed

all you need is time and patience. and a good pair of thick gloves xD
if you pick the 0.8 millimeters aluminium sheet, it's not too hard to bend with bare hands. btw you'll need a rubber hammer to flatten the borders and bend the plates in a rounded shape (don't really know if this make sense... 
but, be aware, aluminium oxidize a bit :/

Now, out of curiosity...were the edges on it sharp and what did you use to cut the aluminum? Also, what did you when the aluminum would oxidize? And lastly, did you put some kind of finish or buff on the aluminum to make it shine like that? Sorry, for bombarding you with so many questions, but I am really interested in making aluminum armor now because not only will I be re-doing my armor for my Saber cosplay, but also making two other armor sets from a different anime.

oh, yes...I forgot to say that we achieved the "mirror" effect by polishing the aluminium trough a table grinder with a tissue brush...actually, my bf did, I don't even know how it looks like xΒ°D

I won't lie, when you cut it...it hurts! you must be very careful :s we used a pair of sturdy scissors to cut it, it's quite easy but you need a little bit of strength.
Also, we had not enough time to experiment but, you may want to cover the plates with some flatting or some protective varnish in order to avoid oxidation (if you try it, let me know if it works

One more question if you do not mind, how did you get the plates to stay onto you? This really applies to Saber's armor design. Because her armor only covers her chest and sits around her without anything attached to her shoulders. I had heard magnets are good to use to hold armor to your clothing, but what did you use since you were using aluminum?

no problem, if I can help I'm glad ^^
the only way we found the easiest was using belts and velcro strap. I had a belt tighten round my chest (under boobies xD) and a belt on my hips. The upper part of the armor is actually 2 separated parts: the front one (which had some loops for the belt to pass trough) and the part on the back which tactically covered the belt and was held by velcro straps. I had velcro straps on my boots too 
The "hips armor" part is composed by 3 parts (the 2 hips and the front "belt") which held onto the actual belt with simple hooks. Gravity strength does the rest of the job xD
