This painting is really amazing! The main colours are grayscale and black. I love the woman inside of the painting! I thought that this was a photograph of the woman and then being photo shopped! You have used thin brushes to thick ones. You have used realistic textures and have used shadows for effect. It looks like watercolour colour in some places but paint in the other. It must have took months, weeks and days to complete this piece of art! Maybe something in the left side of the painting. But anyways, it's really awesome! Keep up the good work!

This work is a delicate yet meaningful display of clair-obscur and surrealism. The overcast of the "Constraint" brings out this artist's vision by portraying a beautiful balance of light and shadow with no shortage of attention to detail and originality. I find this work, as well as all her works, to have inspired me to be a better artists. Whether her work is playfully done through the wonderfully creative use of watercolor or obscure, powerful monochromatism, I believe this works ability goes even further than the obvious; it makes you think and displays ideal execution of negative space as a key to harmonizing its aesthetic composition. This work is beautiful, and I can't wait to see what else comes from her artistic genius.

I am starting to look forward to these so I hope I am not losing my objectivity. I am drawn to her face, the tilt of the head and the shoulders. I like the wide range of tones contrasting with the stark blacks--It creates an effect of emergence. She looks like she is pulling forward and out of something--the shoulder and the tension says that she is pressing downward with her hand. You could read a lot into this one. Everything from being a prisoner of sexual needs (masturbatory position of the down and pressing hand) to the scythe shape and the facing of death to the "life's a highway" Eagle-esque" implication of the dotted lines.

So now I look at the title. Constraint. Ok she is constrained. She is constraining--is she constraining something? She has an arrogance in her face--don't mess with me--do what you will--have your way with me--but I still stand, no matter what. So it may be about overcoming personal bondages--I think I kind of like and respect that.

There is a feminist strength of will here--the over coming of obstacles and the emergences of a stronger more enlightened woman.

Like I said--I look forward to these. I actually stop...look...think...look again...and write....keep me doing that. Bravo.
