I disagree with not allowing MMD port... There are so many wonderful XPS models, and yet because I find the render quality of XPS frustrating, and because all my models and effects and such are preset for MMD, I won't use XPS. I am also not a big fan of the source material. The only reason I would forbid XPS port is to avoid the variable quality of XPS renders or to ensure those using the model understand the importance of giving credit to someone who either spent hours making a model and rigging it, or just hours rigging it. However, the second reason applies to any other program, and could even extend to the model not being able to be used to the best of its capabilities outside of MMD. If I have a special configuration for my model, people might not be able to make it happen. If I have special facial morphs, what if the program can't use them? I've come across several XPS users to forbid MMD port, and it frustrates me.
Honestly, I'm not part of the problem, so why should I be forbidden to do something because someone else messed up? I isolate myself from the "MMD Community" and work mostly independent. I hate those I am compared to. They're not me and they have faulty motivations. If someone died from eating peanuts, why should I be forced to not have any? I'm not them, and I'm not allergic. So why should I be told no because of someone else's mistake?
That is what I don't get about XPS users. I don't like XPS, and I won't use it, but I'm perfectly fine with the users. I'd treat them the same as long as they respect some simple rules I'd have in place, that are usually standard, like no R-18 (no porn, sexual content, gore, etc), no redistributing (reuploading to another place and giving it out, it is disrespectful; if I gave you a present for your birthday that I worked hard to afford, and you turned around and gave it to someone else, I would feel that my work is not good enough), always credit, etc. Yet they never treat me as kindly as I would them.
Also, sorry for ranting. I just need to get it out there that there are at least SOME "normal" MMD users that don't wave things around like it's a leek and Ievan Polka is on.

I once saw a blog post in an MMD Group page in Deviantart complaining about how Xnalara porters are ripping and porting without permission. They even gave an example in the form of Kenshiro549's Satsuki model they claimed as being ripped off from a popular MMD author when it was ported from Gmod.

Kenshiro549's Satsuki model is most definitely a convert of the MMD modeler Kio's Satsuki model distributed in the February 2014 issue of the Japanese "Windows 100%" magazine. And if they frobbid xps port, why should i let them port my models to MMD ? hm ?
that's why i don't want them to be ported to MMD, they don't respect me, i don't see why i should respect them.

Well, what if I respect you? Like I said, as long as you respected my very standard rules, I'd let you port. (Even though I don't have anything up because of a particular someone who disobeyed my rules before I went to dA and took my work for herself...) MMD users don't respect me. To be honest, I respect XPS users more than MMD users; XPS users tend to be less intense.
With MMD users, there is a large group considered to be "part of the MMD community." Those are the dramatic, ridiculous users. Then there are users that do not associate with the "community," like myself, and they are fairly normal.
Personally, I would be using XPS myself if I wasn't concerned with how the program rendered. However, since I don't really like how XPS renders, I use MMD without associating with the "community."
I guess you need to spend a bit less time looking at the "MMD community" and a bit more on the pacifist normal users. XD The "community" has made me much less open, too.

well i would use MMD if i could but i just don't like how it work, i find Xnalara way easier to use to move the camera and bones
...and yeah, if you want you can port it to mmd but for your personal use..

Though the issue is treating your bad experiences as a way to judge a community as a whole. It may be justified entirely to you but to others it may seem stupid. However, there's no way to just kinda go "oh this MMD model was originally one of my models" without seeming like an idiot the majority of the time if you didn't create the model in question, so the entire point seems moot when someone can just extract the same model again anyways and port it to a different program.
