-Pact (though is more convenient for the little monster)
When the pact is active, Xena grows powerful horns on her head, horns like blades on her arms and a pair of strong mantis arms, wich she uses as weapons to fight hand-to-hand or to charge against her enemies, however, most of the times she simply uses her horns to intimidate anyone that gives her trouble or to illuminate her way since they shine a little. Also, her body becomes faster at healing wounds, but only while the pact is active.
-Fauna
She still doesn't know much about it, she was just taking care of her plants, wishing for them to flourish again and then they did. She has been practicing a little with it in secret but so far she only knows that she can make some roots move.
Companion: Useless Shrimp (a mix of deer, fox and mantis with spider-like features)
Weapon: She uses her horns as weapons, as well as brute force.
Armor: Soft soft leather.
Weapon: Basic Sickle (that looks like a toy)
|| History ||
Personality: Chaotic neutral
Xena is feral, fast thinker and highly intuitive, after all, a life in the wild doesn't give you enought time to think things through and she has lived long enought in the forest to know that sometimes is better to just act, so most of the time she can look rather impulsive, and that isn't that far from reality, her odd morals makes her almost unpredicable, the only clue being her mood, wich is as changing as it is unreadable. The only thing she let people knows is when she is happy, the rest is a srecret that only a few can say they know.
In the past she used to be even more reckless than she already is, just going with the flow of whatever mother nature would put in front of her, however, since the adoption of Shrimp her philosophy has changed from ''let the gods do their thing'' to ''protect the weak and beat the strong'', is more fun that way she says, but she has grown fond of the little thing, probably more than any other mortal in her live, even if she denies it. A live in solitude and the constant threat of death leaves you with little desire of forming relationships that can end at any moment. The downside being a chronic loneliness and the fear of a purposeless life.
Backstory:
One night, a group of nomads found a small mortal wrapped up in a blue blanket, hiden in a bush. They took her with the rest of the tribe as a gift from Nala, giving her a home and name, Xena. They taught her to dedicate her live to their god ''Abdullah'', to be selfless and obedient, to own only the necesary and to be ready to die any moment since fighting back was forbiden. Xena never felt comfotable with this.
Time passed and Xena grew up to be strong, fiercely independent and with rebel tendencies. Her discomfort with the tribe in her childhood also got bigger, and clearer. She noticed that the tribe was odd, everyone just following whatever the leader said because those were the words of Abdullah, the gods servant, the one that teached mortals a way to fix their past mistakes and return the peace, and anyone questioned an order was questioning Abdullah itself and succumbing to the wrong path, the one of violence and senseless war that almost killed Nala before. Everyone was full of guilt, seeking for relief in the promise that they would cure Nala by giving up everything they had and doing always exactly what Abdullah had said.
Xena was getting sick of it, how could they feel sadness everytime they saw something as beautiful as the forest? for Xena nature felt like home, always managing to calm her down just by filling her senses with the beauty of the wild live that flourished in the chaos, growing freely all over the ground without restrictions or rules, something her tribe just couldn't see, always praising and risking their lives for something they didn't even get to enjoy. It was suspicious, and she didn't liked it, watching her loved ones wasting their lives like something worthless and telling her to do the same, she started to feel like running away.
It wasn't until much later that she discovered just how bad her current situation actually was.
Only the most respected members of the tribe could go into the villages to trade for only the most necesary things, everyone else, specialy the young ones, had to stay far away of any kind of civilitation, as they could be temted for the materials good, but Xena, who had the habit of going alone in the forest, didn't realized how close they were to a village until she found a young woman in her way. She invited her for a meal as she noticed the berries Xena was hungry, and since it was the first time a stranger had spoken to her, Xena wasted no time in acepting the offer.
Almost as a miraculous coincidense, the woman was a follower of Nala too, but it didn't took her long to notice that it wasn't quite the same, in fact, was something completely different from what she knew. Facinated, Xena asked as much as she could about the woman's believes and gods, but it shifted to an unpleasant feeling when the woman said that she never heard of Abdullah, who was supposed to be the most important god for mortals.
Xena left the house in silence. All of her suspicions were real and she had spend her entire life following someone elses lies, and yet, it was the only life she ever knew, what was she supose to do? maybe it wasn't even that bad, she thought.
One night while traveling on the edges of the forest, half of the tribe was attacked by hungry beastly monsters. Xena was the first to make her way back into the woods, and the last. She briefly looked back only to see that no one was following, but she keep on running, with guilt and anger in her chest, knowing that she couldn't have saved them, because they wouldn't even want to be saved.
She ran with the rest of the tribe that was behind, told them what happened while crying, and yet, the only thing they said was ''we will pray for their souls'' and keep walking in another direction. That was it for her, the people she loved the most just let those thing kill them and everyone acted as if it was nothing, as if their lives were nothing, so the next day after she calmed, she packed some things, kicked the leader a few times and ran off into the woods, she had nothing to lose anyway.
She keep traveling alone for years, sometimes visiting near villagers to sell some of her products, but always staying in the forest as civilization was too ''tidy'' for her tastes, she belonged to the wild, and wasn't ready to trust in another mortal yet. She learned more about Nisha and just how well her teachings fitted in her life style, but remained true to Nala. However she still felt empy.
One day while traveling she saw a fight, a big creature was attacking another that had a child. Maybe it was an impulse, maybe the desire to protect, she just didn't think about it and charged right in the middle of the fight, the only thing she was sure of was to kill the bastard before it killed her, and she did, but sadly, now she was going to die as well for a huge cut across her body, oh well, the mother died but the little monster was still there, so might as well take him to a safer place before falling to the ground. She walked aimlessly into the forest without realising the thick mist around her. She let the baby crawl inside her wound, huh, maybe he is hungry, she was going to die anyway so it doesn't matter. She keep on walking, the little thing couldn't defent himself, useless, useless like a shrimp, she needed to find a safe place for him. She walked until she hit a big old tree, it had a hole big enought for the baby, and with her body for food, he perhaps could live, just a little more. She sat down and closed her eyes, letting the mist finaly consume her.
Xena woke up with a tongue licking her face, ew. She stod up and realised that the wound was closed, well, almost, and that she was in haven, a place she heard of only in rumors.
Looks like she will have to keep that Shrimp alive herself.
