UPDATE ON 12/29/2023: I REALLY WANT TO CALL THIS SHOW BAD IF YOU COULDN'T TELL. Maybe I've become a lot more of a grump lately, especially when it comes to reviewing media, but Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends probably ranks second behind Rick and Morty as the most pathetic cartoon I've ever seen. This show is so ass that that nu Rick and Morty, Family Guy, and SpongeBob are still capable of producing episodes that outclass a majority, if not the ENTIRETY, of this series. Tell me again why Foster's is hailed a classic? It legit feels like it was made for babies, and that point of mine is further proven by the fact we're getting a preschooler reboot of this cartoon when it's not necessary at all because the OG is already a clear-cut baby show with juvenile unoriginal plots and horrible characters.

tl;dr version: My review for this show isn't anything elaborate because at the end of the day, I just think it's really fucking boring and wasted potential. The fact that nearly every episode is 22 minutes when they don't give any good reason for why they should be that long festered EVERY. SINGLE. EPISODE, including the ones that I did like. I don't have it in me to ever watch an episode of this cartoon again because it is such a chore to sit through, there's nothing special about any of the episodes in the top 10, nor is there anything special about this show in general since it blew its unique premise on the most overdone plots you can imagine.

You'd think that the characters would at least alleviate some of these issues, but then you realize that characters like Goo and Cheese exist, and their only purpose is to annoy the audience to death, or Bloo whose entire character is being a douche because the plot demands it. Seriously, I don't think Foster's does anything right besides its animation, which I also had a few bones to pick with in my review.

The only way I could recommend Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends to anyone is if they're an insomniac like myself and have exhausted all options to fall asleep-- you can just watch any episode and by the 5 minute mark, you should be fast asleep.
